Depends how much overweight. 30,50 or even 75 pounds is probably not going to affect anything. I'm 5'5" and 180 lbs and could get pregnant at the drop of a hat. I've know women that were 250 and 275 that have been pregnant. However, those that are morbidly obese usually have problems. However, it is hard to tell if a woman's infertility is directly related to her weight or if she has another underlying problem.

I weigh 300 lbs but I am tall and you can't tell I am that weight. I am pregnant. I have been pregnant before and had a good pregnancy!

Best of luck!

P.S. People are so dag on mean. I have read some of the comments on this post of yours and another. Just because your weight is more than majority does not mean that you are not a person and that you are not able to conceive just like any other skinny chick.
People don't understand that you can also be a heavy person but not carry yourself in a manner that you look totally gross!!!!!!

***** I had a good pregnancy with my daughter. I did not have gestational diabetes. They did keep a track on my blood pressure, but at no time was I placed on any types of medication. I had my daughter on time. She was not overweight. I had her vaginally.

Please don't fall into that bull that people give you about being overweight and all the negative when you are pregnant.

Anything that they say happens to an overweight female can also happen to a small pregnant female!

My friend weighed 20 stone when she fell pregnant, she gained 11 lb during her pregnancy, and had a brilliant labour.
she was very tired through her pregnancy, but had no problems with blood pressure or diabetes etc.
My advice would to loose even a stone or so, cause atleast then that is weight that will come back on again.

but if you are severly overweight, you should not gain to much, i think the standard amount of weight you should gain is between 5lb-10lb.

all the best if you are trying to concive

(i dont think the actual falling pregnant is an issue, what ever your weight is)

I weigh 240lbs, on birth control for almost a year, and just found out that I'm pregnant. I've always been overweight but I've had regular periods and people tell you that if you're overweight that you won't have regular periods but thats not true. I'm severly overweight and got pregnant while on birth control so you never know. I just hope this is something you want if you are. Good Luck...

As far as I know, you can get pregnant, but it may be more difficult than it would be for a person who is a helathy weight.
Based on personal experience, when I gained weight, I was 60 pounds overweight. I would stop getting my period for about two months at a time, and then it would come on and stay on for about one month straight, non-stop. In cases like this, it is more difficult to determine when you are most fertile. If you are overweight, it's best to try to get your weight under control before trying to get pregnant. The better your health is before you become pregnant, the greater your chances are for having a healthy baby.

Once infertility has been diagnosed, there are a number of treatment options available depending on the root cause of the problem. Learn here https://tr.im/tKimo

Infertility is a condition defined as not being able to become pregnant after at least one year of unprotected, regular, well-timed intercourse. Women who suffer from multiple miscarriages may also be diagnosed as infertile. Infertility may be classified into two groups, primary and secondary infertility.

While she is taking that 2 Hr or less nap, take that time to make some healthy "Grab and Go" Meals. Make Fruit Salad, and put them in 1/2 cup containers that you can just grab and eat without having to prepare. Make Wrap Sandwiches. Take a Wrap, (Wheat or your favorite flavor) Wrap with lowfat turkey or Ham, tuna salad.etc./fat free mayo/lettuce/tomato roll, and you can eat those with one hand. Low fat/Low Sodium Microwavable soups are another option. As well as pre-washed bags of salad. Microwave Low Fat Weight Watchers meals, and healthy snacks like Whole Wheat Pretzels, etc. is another grab and go option.

I was overweight when I got pregnant and was told i was at more risk of diabetes etc. Luckily I was fine but I know that it can cause difficulty with fertility. I know lots of overweight women who have had no problems concieving though.
