It's definitely ok to call your doctor if you're worried. They really don't mind. In fact, I think mine worries that I DON'T call for anything except to have them talk with the HR department at my work. Maybe I'm just too laid back, especially for a first pregnancy.
Remember that at this stage of pregnancy the baby may be able to move, but he or she does still have a lot of space, so you may not always feel it. When the baby hits the first couple of growth spurts you will feel the movements for sure, and as there is less room and things become more cramped, the movements will become more defined.

You may be ok once you get used to feeling the baby move he or she can move and you won't even notice it because it has become a part of a regular routine thing everyday. The best thing to do is go into a quiet room and lay down for one hour and count each movement of your baby at the stage of pregnancy you are in your baby should move at least 4-6 times within an hour as your pregnancy gets closer towards 40 weeks your baby will move as many as 8-10 times in an hours because he or she doesnt have as much room so the child moves more to try and get comfortable. Try that exercise and see if that helps if your baby doesnt move at all in that hour contact your doctor immediatly

Your panicking to much it is very early in your pregnancy and the baby not that big so a lot of the movements you won't feel until 20 weeks plus. If you are worried see your midwife but a lot of the times the baby moves more at night when you are sleeping so don't panic!

Yes, it's too early to be counting movements.
They don't have you start doing "kick counts" until the third trimester because before then, babies are totally unpredictable and have no real sleep/awake pattern. Also, this early, sometimes they do NOTHING but sleep, so you don't feel them at all.
I think you're stressing yourself out...you could go get a monitor and listen to the heartbeat everydya but truthfully I think it'll just be a crutch.
You're already a mom so you know you worry...just accept that worry is normal and try not to over-do it.
Don't assume you'd be bleeding if something was wrong, but know that in the second trimester, the odds of miscarrying are VERY VERY small!

Don't worry hon!! It's too early. Yes, you'll feel some movement at this point, but it's not common. Some women don't even feel movement until after 20 weeks. Just relax and don't worry. If it would make you feel better you can go online and rent fetal dopplers. I rented one during my last pregnancy cause I was scared I would lose the baby so anytime I got worried I'd just put the gel on my belly and stick the doppler on my belly and there would be her heartbeat swishing away at 160 beats a minute!!

At 17 weeks the baby is SO small that you will feel very few of it's delicate little VOLUNTARY movements & it's growing so fast that it will rest a lot. What you're feeling are the harder INvoluntary reflex/spastic movements but you'll most likely feel a LOT of movement by 26-28 weeks. My guess is that everything is ok but I'm not a medical professional so, if you feel pains, cramping or show abnormal discharges, call your doctor. Congratulations on your pregnancy & best wishes always!

WAY too early to be checking fetal movements. You shouldn't start doing kick counts until 28 weeks. And at 17 weeks the baby is still so small that a lot of the movements are missed. Just relax!

I paniced through out my second pregnancy worried about being too big, what would happen if anything went wrong, what would I say to my daughter(she was 5). Any little pain, twinge etc. I was much more relaxed the first time round. Try not to worry it is too early for regular kicks I stressed myself so much it took a lot of the enjoyment away. Mos tof my panic was because I had one child already who was old enough to know what was happening and you know how strong a bond you have with your children.

It is too early to feel movements constantly. It's too early to be counting the movements. My baby moves alot some days and hardly at all or never others. It's totally normal. Try laying on your back to see if the baby moves it works for me.

You are still early in counting kicks. It is great that you can feel them - so enjoy them when you do, but kick counting does not start until way later! Don't worry, I remember feeling the same way, but the stress of worrying was so unneccessary!
Honestly, you are lucky to even feel some movements already :)
