My husband and I are expecting baby #1 in August. I am happy but convinced this will be the last new year's we get to go out. Our niece will be 12 next year and has taken babysitting classes and taken care of her one older and two younger siblings for a few hours after school this past year. I'm not sure she could handle a 5 month old baby (in january 2009 it will be that old) but my husband is confident she could. What would you think?

Ok, I was getting pretty sick of the Haeden, Brayden, Caden, Jaeden trend of names, but Naeden and Saeden? I saw BOTH of these names in the "birth announcements" in the paper today. Is it just me, or are these names really dumb and getting really annoying? How many variations are there going to be? DUMB!

I am 23 weeks pregnant with a little boy ;)

We know his middle name will be Wayne (after my late father) but am having problems coming up with a first name. Right now 'Joshua/Josh' seems to be the top contender but am looking for other ideas, too.

Any suggestions?

I have an 9 month old and she has been eating rice cereal and baby food since 4 months. The last month she has been doing a lot of gagging and choking with the same food she never had a problem with before but all of a sudden chokes with it so I backed off a little bit. I am kinda worried that since she is already 9 months and hasn't started trying to feed herself and has been eating the same things since 4 months old I am keeping her back but I am not sure on what to do since she keeps choking and gagging on everything. What should she be eating at this age and what should and can I be doing to teach her to eat finger foods and such? Also, she wont drink water or dulited juice, just her formula, what can I do about that?

I seemed to get yelled at for EVERYTHING. If I forget to clean my room for a day, I get yelled at. If I forget to charge my cell phone, I get yelled at. If I forget to put my coat to the hanger, if don't get up on time for once, if I forget to do the dishes...

I try not to make mistakes, but I always do. How can I learn to be "the perfect" child?

My daughter lost two of the teeth about 2 years ago. The permanent teeth still haven't come in. Her dentist wont do anything because there is no telling when her teeth will erupt. My ex husband wont leave me alone about it cause he doesn't want her to have braces. He's threatening to take me court because I'm not taking worried about her needing braces. She's been to 3 different dentist and I have gotten the same answer. If I get spacers they will be a waste of money and chances are she's still going to need braces. How do explain to him there is nothing we can do now? I told him everything and he's still not listening. He wont go to the dentist about it either.

I kept having period cramps and swore my period was comming and my month was not this month, I ended up taking a pregnancy test anyway..and BAM ...3 positives yesterday...so even though u have period like cramps don't think it's done for the month..because it doesn't always mean that :o) ! I'm still cramping it scares me, but they say its normal and I'm having no bleeding at all...just discharge.

For those children that dont get allowance i belive they are slaves. They are put to do chores and order by their parents for about 18 years which sound like slavery for me.

Yesterday I picked up my 11 year old daughter, the mother and I agreed on no set time to meet the next day (today) to drop her off.

Fast forward to today

My daughter talked to her mom on the phone then handed me the phone. The mom said " can you please feed her she said she is starving. I jokingly said "no", but then said of course she is going to be fed, but she just woke up and took a shower, and once me and my other daughter take a shower we are going out to eat then to the movies.

about 10 min later:
I get a call from the Mom, she said " I'm on my way over right now to pick her up" i said " don't pick her up now we are getting ready to go out, we can meet like originally planned at 7pm and drop daughter off." She basically lost it at that point because in the past to avoid confrontation and putting my daughter in the middle of an argument I always have given in to do things the way "she" wanted.

I have a teenage daughter who is about to turn 18 next year and she is getting on my last nerves. I am tired of having to take care of her (making food, cleaning her dishes, doing her laundry) because she does not do anything! All she does is stay in her room, sleep and goes on the internet. I think it is because two years ago she was kicked out of high school for not coming to school for a year. I do not know what’s wrong with her and am afraid if I leave her to herself she won’t make it in the real world. She refuses to see a psychologist and basically refuses to get a job or do almost anything. I don’t even think she goes outside! I work full time to make ends meet. The new year is approaching and I do not know what to do.

Stick something up their nose?
They other day, my son stuck a peanut up his nose and I had to take him to the ER to get it taken out. His Ped. tried, but wasn't able to get it so we had to take him to the ER to get it out. It was so horrible, I felt like such an awful parent.

If a boy with o+ and a girl with b- group marry is there any problem while child birth or any other time?

2007-12-31 06:15:37 · 4 answers · asked by Anonymous in Trying to Conceive

My baby girl is 9 days old and I'm having some trouble with breastfeeding her. She gets hungry so I feed her, but she'll only nurse for 5 minutes or so and then she falls asleep. Then she's hungry again 30 minutes to an hour and a half later. I've tried touching her face and feet and moving her arms around to keep her awake, but that only works for a couple of minutes.

I'm getting frustrated because I have a 2 year old and it's becoming difficult to have to drop everything every half hour and nurse the baby. I'm also exhausted from waking up every hour at night to nurse her. If I get really lucky she'll sleep for 2 hours at a stretch, but it's usually more like an hour. She's in great shape; gaining weight normally and making lots of dirty diapers, but I'm losing my mind.

My son was not at all like this so I'm not sure what to do. How do I keep my baby awake long enough to fill her tummy? Should I just accept that this is her feeding schedule? Help?
