Stick something up their nose?
They other day, my son stuck a peanut up his nose and I had to take him to the ER to get it taken out. His Ped. tried, but wasn't able to get it so we had to take him to the ER to get it out. It was so horrible, I felt like such an awful parent.

Just to clear something up, I was in the kitchen doing dishes when he did this. He was in the other room playing with toys or so I thought. I can't be in more then one place at a time!

Little kids, for some odd reason, like to stick small objects in their nose, mouth and ears. You're not a bad parent.

When I was 3 I stuck a pea up my nose. My mom ran an in home daycare and she left us in the dining room for a second while she went to answer the phone. One of the older girls (whom I still know) ran in screaming, "Shelbi's got a pea up her nose!" My mom didn't believe her (she was a joker), finished the phone call, and came in to check on us. Well I did put a pea way up my nose ha ha. She got one of those snot suckers and got it out that way. Its pretty funny looking back on it know. My mom said she was really scared and she thought I might need to go to the ER. Don't worry about it, your not a bad parent! I think every kid does it at least once. Hopefully you and your son will look back on it and laugh when hes older! Star for you.

Please don't feel like that. My daughter got a piece of paper stuck up her nose(spit ball) and it came out when she blew her nose. Children are naturally curious, that does not make you a bad parent. Bad parenting is neglect!!!

This happens far more often than you would even realize. My younger daughter shoved pie dough into my middle daughter's ear canal. It was a nightmare to get it removed at the hospital. My younger brother was bad about sticking things in his nose. My grandson got a q-tip he found in the trash can and shoved it into his ear breaking a small bone.
