There can be, but if the mother is a negative blood type, she will simply receive a special shot during her pregnancy that will keep that problem from arising.

No not at all. My husband has +ve group and I have -ve one. We recently have been blessed with a baby. In fact doctor did not tell anything about it. During preganncy, doctor gives a shot and after birth of baby, if baby's blood group is +ve, she will get another shot. That's it. Enjoy...

Yes, In your case the chances are that baby can have B+, B-, O+,O- blood group in same order chances. If baby has +ve group(B/O) then as mother in your case being -ve she can develope antibodies to baby blood group which if leaked through maternal circulation into baby can cause severe destruction of blood cells in baby and also deposition of certain end products in baby brain and severe mental retardation of baby. But good news is this can be watched during pregnancy and can be taken care of with proper antenatal care in todays era. The chances are least in first child.
