My husband and I are expecting our first child. We have chosen the first name of Mitchell for a boy, and our last name is Alexander. Therefore the child's name will be Mitchell (middle name) Alexander. We need help finding a cool middle name. We do not want something that is a typical name-- like Robert or Bradley, because my husband claims that we don't want to curse the kid with "three first names".

My husband jokingly said that we need to use a random word; and suggested "Volcano". I think this is pretty stupid, but as we begin continuously joking about it, it is actually sounding more and more appealing. We imagine the kid being proud of his wierd middle name, especially since the child might have red hair. Well, anyway...

What better suggestions do you have for a middle name?

I was just wondering what peoples thoughts on this were. My cousin has just given birth to her 4th child. Like all the others she wanted to do it at home...which she did. They took the youngest to grandma's and let the 2 older ones stay behind to experience the whole thing. They are almost 7 & 5..both girls. They got to watch the whole entire thing and thought it was very interesting, cool and were very excited to be there. The younger one said she never wants to have babies now because it looks so painful..and I'm guessing because of all the blood? They had a tonn of questions and my dear cousin asnwered every single one of them. She's told them from long ago where babies really come from. They're very open with everything, she tells them pretty much everything. That's a penis, that's a vagina, the obvious..where the baby comes from etc etc...

I just wanted to know what everyone thought of this idea? I'm not one to judge her, I told her straight up that I just couldn't do that! :)

See I was just askiing because i`m only 16 and I so desparately want a child to call my own. Alot of ppl that i know tell me that I`m not ready for a child but then again, others tell me that it would be nice. I`ve talked to my mother but she isn`t really telling me how she feels about the whole situation. I think I am so ready for child, man I just wanna get up in the middle of the night making bottles and changing dipers and sometimes not even get enough sleep for school the next day. Guys and Gals, plz give me your opinion because i really need an outsiders opinion.

I'm 27, and my boyfriend is 30. We have been together several years and are looking to buy a house. I want to get married, but I'm too much of a chicken to bring it up. I secretly know that he's looked at rings, though.

He brought up the topic of kids when we were out a few weeks ago, and a little buzzed. He said that I'd better "decide" in the next 3 years if I want kids or not. What does that mean?

He says he doesn't want kids, but then sometimes things come up and he says things like, "if we had a kid....."

He seems confused about it, and honestly I am too. I think I might like to have kids but the whole birth process scares the s**t out of me and I don't feel ready, although I'm getting older.

So I guess my question is, do a lot of guys his age feel this way? He says that he worries if we had a kid, he "wouldn't love it". But he is the nicest guy ever and he is so nice to his nieces and nephews and I know he would be a great dad.

My grandmother used to sing this to my children when they where babies. I can't find it anywhere.

"Pretty little bluebird where did you go?
Come back
Come back
To me"
.....it goes on for about 7 more lines.

I'm about to drop a bundle of joy and I know its a boy. My husband and I have decided on the name Callum Joseph. I wanted something Scottsh as I am from Scotland. We already have a son Aidan Thomas to keep in with his Irish connections (he is from Australia) and just wanted to know what people thought. Do the names go together?

When my baby was born last year I was married to a different man than the father. I left the information blank on the bc. I've also been married to hubby when I conceived my child. During that time we were legally separated though.

Now my husband wants to be in charge and have all the rights, sign stuff at the pediatrician etc.. I want that too.

Her biological dad disappeared shortly after our "encounter" and told me that he doesn't want this kid. We broke up then. I don't have any contact because he moved out of the country. We haven't talked for 2 years.

Can I put hubby on the bc knowing he is NOT the biological father?
