Disagree because I know several young couples that are still having babies after their second one. Just keep in mind that their expenses will increase as they get older. Will you be able to meet the demand and still enjoy them. The older ones should not have to raise the younger ones!

Totally disagree. A culture prevails in some wealthy communities that people should get fixed after some number of kids. It's not natural. Who really knows what the long term effects are. Life has too many uncertain events that can happen. You can't guarantee your spouse and you will live forever, together. Accidents & serious illnesses happen. Reversals aren't 100%. Don't do it.

** If you are asking because you are thinking about having your tubes tied, my answer to you would be no.

** If you are asking in general if we simply agree that most people get fixed after 2 children today, my answer is yes.

The reason for my response in the first place is that I had my tubes tied after I had my 2nd child. And I can truly say I regret having made that decision. My baby is now 16 years old. It has left me wanting another child, however I now will never have another baby.

If you are seriously thinking about having a tubal, pray that you make the right choice for you and your partner.

It is 100% personal. Don't let the worn out feeling you get at the end of pregnancy dictate whether you will have more kids. I know several doctors won't do it if the patient is under 30. I'm from Dallas and we wait a little longer up there than they do further south.

Disagree - my partner and i have 9 kids between us aged 18ys and 5 months. We support them ourselves and they love being in a big family. Ok it doesn't always for some people but you decide how many kids you want?

Getting "fixed" is a personal choice, and not a morality issue. What I mean is that I don't consider it a Sin.

Now, I am not aware that most people have themselves sterilized after two children. I do not think it is a common practice.

I think that is your choice, if you only want two then have two. I personal couldn't imagine having only two children i want at least five but i would never get fixed. If i get pregnant with more i would be happy.

well, i am having my tubes tied after my second pregnancy b/c the second pregnancy ended up being twins. i figure getting three kids total out of two pregnancies was good for me. and it's more likely for me to conceive multiples again. it's hard having kids. although i'd love to have a ton of them, i know three is enough!
