Me and my ex boyfriend are expecting a girl later this september. He's pressuring me to get an abortion iam about 3 months pregnant. I have always been honest with him and told him he is not responsible for this child iam more than capable of taking care of this child on my own. He's afraid to tell his parents about the pregnancy because of their poor health. He says if i don't get an abortion he'll have to cut ties with his family and stay here. He feels iam trying to trap him and his family which is so ridiculous because if i wanted to tell his parents i could have done that a long time ago. Now i feel if i don't get an abortion done he would have no choice but to tell his parents. Iam 26 and i think its right time to have a child he's 29 well educated but doesn't want to take any responsibility. We used to date three years ago and broke up about 2 years ago whatever happenned b.w. us was a mistake but its no fault of the child. What do you guys think of the situation? any suggestion

Okay. Here I have two questions regarding the birth control pill. I will try to make them as simple as possible.

1) Is there really any difference between brands? I was on Yasmin for over a year, and now getting it myself, they say it will cost me $45 a month...They have another brand that is only $15. Were we just paying for the name before, or is there really a difference?

2) Ok. I happen to know that sperm can live up to 6 or 7 days in a female's body. As I stated above, I am taking birth control, and as of right now this is all that we are using. YES, I DO know that it is still possible to get pregnant using the pill - that is not my question. What I want to know, is, if I have intercourse the last night of my pills, what are my chances of becoming pregnant? I'm just curious, and asking because I want to be informed if anything were to happen.

**Serious answers only please. Don't tell me how irresponsible I'm being - I, unlike some, AM taking precautions.

Thank you.

I don't know about you ladies, but I'm not too fond of people touching my belly as they tell me "you look like your having a girl", or "how many months are you"? Should I start touching their belly's as they touch mine so that they get the idea?
It's strange because some people can touch my belly and get away with it like my husband (obviously), my mom, siblings, my dad, my grandparents, only one of my 3 aunts, and my cousins and very few friends. Why is it though, that this bothers women so much? I think maybe it's that we are already being protective of our babies? Even more importantly, why do people touch pregnant womens belly's altogether?
The funny thing is that before I became pregnant, I too use to touch their belly's!!! Now I know they were wanting to break my wrist instead of saying hello!

My life partner and myself (both males) are wanting to have a family, am I wrong to ask my cousin to be a surrogate with my partner? So we could have our own family or should we abopt? However if we abopt it wont be the same or will it? Your opinions please

Hello. I have a 15 month old boy who refuses to go through the night. He was initially breastfed on demand and we coslept. I changed to formula at 7 months due to health reasons and tried to get him to sleep in his cot, which he would do happily from 8pm until around midnight when he would wake and i would feed him a take him to my bed. I took the initiative and started to make him sleep in his own bed all night, which was successful. I continued to bottle feed throughout the night until recently I noticed that his daytime eating was suffering so the health visitor told me to stop his night time bottles. Only problem was that they were the only thing sending him back to sleep, so now he sleeps until around 1am, then I refuse to give him anything but water (which he pushes away) but he cries for so long i have to take him to bed with me, where he sleeps fine so he doesn't need the milk, but he won't sleep in his own bed without the milk ..... ARGGGHHH!!! Please someone help!!

I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy a little over 4 weeks ago, I am not breast feeding and I followed all the typical care to help my milk to dry up, but I'm still leaking!! I just wondered if anyone else had this problem? I have my PP check-up in about a week and a half , I plan to talk with my Doc then if it persists, but it's driving me crazy. This is my second child and with my first, it cleared up right away. Thanks in advance!

What was your child's security object? Or what silly routine do they HAVE to do before going to bed? My daughter has to have two binkys one in her mouth and one that she puts on her eye??? She switches the binkys out every couple of minutes until she falls asleep. And a teddy bear that has to be in her crib but not touching her. And a puppy stuffed animal that she has to hold with her right arm!! Just thought it would be fun to hear about other babies little quirks!

I am 36 weeks pregnant and everytime I go to the doctors now, they ask me if I have had any.... I don't know! This is my first baby, and I haven't had any pains or anything, so maybe I am not having them, I know that alot of people get those BH contractions, but I am not sure what they even feel like. If I have had anything at all, I can't tell, because I guess you feel like your muscles are tightening up, but I can't tell if its just the baby pushing up against my skin or what. Any hints to how i will know?

My girlfriend and I have been dating for 6 years already. I'm very much in love with her. She loves me also. We are both 19. She's 4 months pregnant. We are in our 2nd year of college. I still want to keep seeing her. I know I will be with her no matter what but I don't want to spend my money on our child. Isn't there anything we can do? I hardly have enough to even spend on my own stuff since I have to pay for college classes and class materials. Same thing with my girlfriend. I was wondering how come my girlfriend is starting to be a lot more needy? I treat her (as a queen) the same way as before she was pregnant.

I'm trying to decide if I should take my 1 year old baby on a trip with me for a week. My husband has offered to stay home with the baby so we don't expose her to the many risks of a foreign country and flying with a cold/ear infection. Who do you think will be worse off during/after the trip - me or the baby?!

My husband is the best dad in the world, by the way - he was a stay at home dad with baby #1 and does just fine without me.

hi all, i will be 39 weeks pregnant tomorro (woo hoo!) but the problem is, that, since i first became pregnant my breasts have been swollen and REALLY sore, i cant even brush my finger over them without them hurting.
I was wondering if this means I will be likely to have more problems breastfeeding when baby is here?

I breastfed my first but the milk dried up after 2 months and I didnt even realise, I felt really bad she was soo hungry.
Would it be so terrible if i only breastfed while i had the foremilk and when my normal milk came in, to switch to formula??
