I had an interesting conversation with my partner the other day, and wanted some opinions on it. i am 29 weeks pregnant with my first and was looking for some newborn toys for baby to play with. All have some sort of "educational" value to them, whether it be crinkly, crunchy ears, or a certian texture etc. When I pointed this out to partner, his comment was "why do babies always need something "educational" and are constantly being pushed. whay can't they be allowed to just be babies and have fun." He says children are pressured from the word go by pushy parents and that there should be a balance between the two. i hadn't really thought about it before. Do u agree or disagree?

My girlfriend and I were together for over 2 year already. I was very much in love with her. She is in love with me also. I started dating her since she was a freshman and I was a senior. Now, she is a junior and I am in college. 5 days ago, we had sex. 2 days ago, I broke up with her because I caught her cheating with another guy. I was very heartbroken when I saw her with him. and now, she is going to charge me for statutory rape. But I wasn't forcing her to have sex with me. It was a mutual decision. During the act, she never told me to stop. I just hope that she isn't pregnant for what I did though.

My wife and I just got married, and not long before that discovered we would be parents. I have insurance, but unfortunately she did not when I met her, so now she is pregnant and can not be covered by insurance as pregnacy is considered a prexisting condition. We also earn to much to get financial aide through medicade, but definitely don't make enough to pay the soon to come exorbitant medical bills. Any suggestions?

I'm not so mystified when it comes to 'It was horribly painful, so I stopped, and now bottle-feed, etc.' But there're people on here planning, while pregnant, to use formula.

I finally noticed the price of a can of formula, and -- well, _yikes_.

Never mind all the 'breast is best' stuff for a moment -- the cost alone would be a strong deterrent, I'd think.

What made you decide to bottle-feed?

Back in November I found out from my sister that my daughter (then 16) came to her fearing she was pregnant. A pregnancy test was neg. My daughter didn't want me knowing for fear that I would tell her dad (we're separated & the kids live with him for financial & other reasons) & she would lose access to her b/f. This happened during a time when her father let her b/f stay the night, which is a scenario I was against but ultimately had no choice in.
Despite my sister trying to encourage her to talk to me so that I could talk w/her openly about it & get her on protection, she did not. I was finally able to arrange a doc appt this past Friday for the main purpose of getting her an Orthopedic specialist referral for her knees. I sat down w/her the night before & let her know the other reason for this appt & that it was her responsibility to let her dad know what & why. She told him today & while he's understandly angry, he feels I went behind his back. Was how I handled this wrong?

1. Does anyone have the Instep Safari Double jogging stroller? if no, which one do you have?
2. Are you able to fit the double jogging stroller you have in the trunk of a sedan (namely Toyota Corolla)
3. Do you recommend the stroller you have to others, and why?

Also: I'm wanting to get it for exercise walking ~4 miles per day. I expect that my oldest child, who will turn 4 in July, will eventually end up sitting in it each time we are out walking, but at what age do children absolutely refuse to sit in a stroller?

I know I'm asking for a lot of info, so thank you in advance for taking the time, if there's anything else you'd like to share in reference to a double jogging stroller I'd be grateful.

You dont have to answer all these questions...they are just there to help you...give your honest opinion whether positive or negative.thanks..

I have already received an overwhelming response on offering online layaway programs for baby furniture. What are your thoughts on having a "rent-to-own" program for baby furniture? I'm looking at the possibility of offering both but would like to know your feedback. Thnks.

Lately I have been feeling guilty about constantly telling my boyfriends mom no. My bf and I are expecting our first child and from day one we have made it very clear that we want to share these first experiences with each other and not a whole audience. Well from day one his mom has wanted to be at the ultrasound, doctors appt's., in the delivery room, painting my nursery, picking out more personal things for the baby, showing my stomach to friends of hers that I do not know, wanting to take pictures of my stomach and so forth. My bf has told her over and over I am not comfortable with this stuff and every time she cries and I feel guilty. She is not trying to lay a guilt trip, she's just over excited about this whole pregnancy. I am just going crazy and I do not want to waiver on my stands. So whose wrong, her for ignoring our wants or me for not caving hardly at all? Advice please, I am going to go nuts!!!

My daughter is 13 months old. Her father and I separated three months ago after I called the police on him for physical abuse (not the first time it happened). This time it was in front of my daughter and his other two children. I packed up and moved into my mother's house, and we are doing fine. I was not married, and in my state, that means I have sole physical and legal custody. He does not have any rights to her, although I have been allowing visitation in my house, or accompanied by me. This seems to be going alright, but he always tries to touch me and kiss me, calls all the time, even after I have asked him repeatedly to stop. I asked him today if he is going to pay the agreed child support or if I need to go to the child support enforcement agency. He stated that my mom pays for her food so he doesn't have to. I am very upset, I am trying to find a job now because she has been sick in the past month (just got ear tubes), but I can't put her in daycare without any money
