My friend brought up a good argument that I had a hard time defending and thought what women thought about it.

He said women (or couples) have their own babies for their own selfish reasons, such as: They want to see what their child would look like with their genes, they think they would be better parents then other people, and it is something they just "want"

He said if people truly unselfishly wanted a child then they would adopt one of the many kids needing a home.

What are your reasons for wanting to have your own child?

For instance, if I have a lot of muscle in my stomach and it is very flat, will it stretch? And if I have a C-section, will I have a harder time since my muscles are so thick? Will it be more painful and slow healing? Thanks.

I'v had 3 first trimester miscarriages and 1 loss at 21 weeks where I gave birth to a daughter who had died because my water broke too soon. Doctors and specialists that I have seen over the years keep telling me after doing all these tests on me and my husband that they can see nothing wrong and that it's just "bad luck", They think that I could just keep trying but that they have no guarantee and they have no clue as to why my body keeps aborting these poor babies. I have no more strength to go on. I am almost 40 and I don't have time to play around with so I know that I would have to just keep trying to get pregnant but right now I don't think I can go through another loss. I got so sick while pregnant each time and had to stop working each time, and I honestly don't think I can go through it again. Adoption is not a valid suggestion anymore. I can't go through another loss. Is it wrong for me to just want to give up on being a parent and just try to be happy without a child?

If you are put in jail, it's usually for three years. Isn't that horrible? You kill a human and get jail time for three years, but if you kill a pet, you go to prison for 15 years. How/why are pets more important than people these days?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 3 years now and we have been having unprotected sex. My period was due on the 1st of march but since Feb. ended early i gave it extra time but now a week late still no period. I have very sore breast and keep getting pains sort of like cramps like if i was going to get my period for like a week now but nothing. I took a hpt yest. and it was neg. but still no period i feel extremely tired all the time breast are tender like i said. Also, im very moody i get mad at my boyfriend for like no reason the other day i was eating and it tasted like metal i heard thats a symptom of pregnancy and so im thinking maybe i am pregnant what do you think?

This morning i had slight spotting barely anything but its gone... PLEASE ANSWER! This is very important to me and i really appreciate it. Thanks =]

He's never really been fussy like this before? We are staying with my in-laws for a few weeks while my husbands gone training for a new job, I'm stressed and I know that can affect the baby too. But, there's no other symptoms except a lot more fussiness throughout the day, and the things I can usually do to console him don't work as well. One minute he'll be fine and smiling and kicking around the next he's starts crying, like that coughing type crying? Do babies have fussy periods even when they didn't during the normal "colicky period"????Thanks 1st baby!

I have posted a couple of questions about the abortionpill. I have recently taken it and still pregnant. Can't get ahold of the dr. What should I do? If I continue with the pregnancy, because Im wondering if this is a sign that I should keep the baby, is it to late? Should I get another set of pills? Has anyone been in this position?

OK, so what i want to know is what are the chances she is pregnant again... we just had a daughter 6 weeks ago... and just getting outta h.s. (i know please have mercy). Now She is Nursing..She has a 28 day cycle we had sex on March 5, 2007.. its March 10th now. I put it in for 2 minutes literally than relized what i was doing and went to oral. Then Ejaculated around her mouth.. about 3-7 minutes later........ She had her period about... 3-8 days before that happened. Now tell me what are the chances I got her pregnant. Just gimmie the honest truth cause im freaking out....

Also..Is there a pregnancy test we can use now that will let us know if she pregnant already or not??

He was taking care of everything financially and was there for your child before you and him had yours together, he got on your nerves quite a bit but he was doing everything so you dont have to work even if you didn't have feelings for him anymore? we just had a kid together and I feel like she doesn't have it for me anymore, is it supposed to be like this after you have a child or am I tripping? Im not trying to be selfish cause i know the kids come first but what about us? shouldn't there still be romance even though its alot of work?

My last period was mid january, i have sore boobs with dark blue veins and have had spotting about 3 weeks ago. I am feeling very bloated, tired and not myself. I took a home pregnancy test 1 week ago but it came up negative. I dont know wether to take another one or just go to the doctors!

im 9weeks pregnant and he doesnt believe its his so now hes back with his ex and saying he wants to be there if its his after the baby is born but hes putting me through hell now stressing me out making me depressed. so is it wrong for me to just want to leave him alone completely? i know the baby is his and i love him very much but i dont want to deal with accusations through another pregnancy( my first kids dad did the same but the day my son was born he regreted accusing me) i miss him so much but cant stop pictureing him with her even though im having his first kid and t makes me sick!! we have both made mistakes but the kid is his and he is far from perfect like everyone im so lost but feel like i should just cut him out of my life completely and let it burn!!

I have a 3 year old and my husband and I are on the fence whether to have another child (we both see pros and cons). I'm the primary caretaker as he travels for work most of the time. I feel like I manage one child very well, but I fear adding a new baby to the mix would be send me over the edge. How do you handle two kids running in separate directions? Do you just stay home til they're grown?

My daughter is 7. She had eczema as a child, but hasn't had an outbreak in 2 years. That was also only on her face. She is also up to date on all vacinations and even had a secondary outbreak of chicken pox at age 5. The spots itch and she does break them open from itching. Does anybody have any ideas? Do I take her to the dr. or is this eczema?

i am 19 and i have had 2 children a little girl and a little boy. my daughter is almost 2 and my son was 91/2 weeks old when he died. see my husband had been staying home with the kids because i wanted to work so he had been putting them to sleep everyday well on a night that i was off work our friends had come over and i decided to dye my hair, it took longer then expected my husband went to bed and i finished up my hair it was about 2:30 or so and my son woke up so we played and he ate and got his diaper changed and he developed a runny nose that night so i proped him up on his side on the couch to sleep and i went to bed i woke up around 9:30 the next morning to find my little angel dead on the couch he had rolled over and suffacated any advice as to how to deal? its only been 5 months and it seems like it was this morning and to top it off i am only aloud to see my daughter during supervised visits
