My girlfriend and I were together for over 2 year already. I was very much in love with her. She is in love with me also. I started dating her since she was a freshman and I was a senior. Now, she is a junior and I am in college. 5 days ago, we had sex. 2 days ago, I broke up with her because I caught her cheating with another guy. I was very heartbroken when I saw her with him. and now, she is going to charge me for statutory rape. But I wasn't forcing her to have sex with me. It was a mutual decision. During the act, she never told me to stop. I just hope that she isn't pregnant for what I did though.

Statutory rape is basically put, sex with a minor. Check your state's age of consent laws. You may be in luck, some state's age of consent is 16. You can go to this website to check your states law. www.avert.org/aofconsent.html
Good Luck to you

You're kind of in a pickle. Even through sex was consensual, if she was under 18 and you are over 18, she can still charge statutory rape. Statutory rape means that an adult has sex with a minor. They cite advanced age as the influence. But depending her age at the time and what state you live in, you might be able to beat it. In some states, the age of consent is 16 unless you are over 21. It's really confusing, I know. It sounds like you are better off without her anyways if she's going to press charges AFTER you break up for HER infidelity. Good luck to you.

relies upon upon what state you reside in yet whilst she became into below the age of criminal consent you're screwed. In maximum states noone below the age of 18 can consent to sexual intercourse legally. despite if she did not say no and you probably did not tension her interior the eyes of the regulation you nevertheless raped her. it particularly is why this is a robust rule of thumb to in no way have intercourse with somebody below the age of 18. i visit additionally wager that now that she's suggested you there is not any way for her to provide up the charges despite if she modifies her techniques. good success.

Shouldn't have been thinking with your P***s.
It doesn't matter if she had no objections, you're an idiot for having sex with a minor...worse if anything for being aware and still doing it.
If you really want to stick it to her though, tell her if she reports you, you'll report the guy she cheated on you with.
Just sounds like sour grapes to me.
She probably won't do it anyway, it's prob. just empty threats to get you to back off and get over it.
