My wife and I just got married, and not long before that discovered we would be parents. I have insurance, but unfortunately she did not when I met her, so now she is pregnant and can not be covered by insurance as pregnacy is considered a prexisting condition. We also earn to much to get financial aide through medicade, but definitely don't make enough to pay the soon to come exorbitant medical bills. Any suggestions?

Ask at the hospital where she will be giving birth. Go to their financial department. Many hospitals take part in programs that help pay part of the bills for people who cannot afford to. When I had my baby I wasn't even expecting anything like that. I had insurance that covered part of the cost, but we still owed a significant amount once we checked out of the hospital. The financial person gave us some papers to fill out, then she called and told us that we qualified and the remainder of our bill had been paid. At the very least they can help set you up with a payment plan. Take care of this now so you aren't scrambling once the baby is here, you don't need that added stress.

Check at the health department they have several programs perhaps you will qualify for one of those. Most people do qualify for one or the other. Also apply for WIC at the health department (or they can tell you where to apply).
