What is the most absurd/useless baby gadget, toy or piece of equipment that some one gave you or convinced you to buy when you were pregnant?

My father-in-law thought I should get a baby-cam. It was a video version of a baby monitor.

Some one else bought me a basinet that we used for 3 weeks tops.

Everyime I turned around someone was trying to sell me something that I could not live without. It started to make me wonder how babies ever survived when there were not baby wipe warmers:)

I am a stay at home mother of three and watch children in my home. I have previously been a Pre-K teacher and have 6 years of experience with home daycare. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I am currently working towards my Master's degree in Education.
I never take more then 3 children and my oldest is in Kindergarten so he's not home most of the day.
I provide all meals and snacks and have very flexible hours.

How much would you be willing to pay for someone with my credintials to provide care for your child in their home? I am looking for new kids and am curious if I'm charging the right amount....Thanks.

I'm worried that i could be pregnant im going to go to the doctor so i can stop worrying but i would still like some advice. for the last 2 weeks ive had nausea, extreme fatigue like im tired for no reason and thats not like me..ive had a headache, had to urinate more often, ive been very hungry and had a couple of cravings for things i dont usually like..my stomach had\s been upset i feel better when i eat but 15 minutes later i feel sick..i just dont feel like myself. im currently on the pill but i have skipped a couple this month which was dumb on my part i know but i did it..my period is due next week so should i wait or go to the doctor to calm my nerves..i dont need lecturing i just need advice..thanks

I'm wondering because most people did, yet 500 times a day there are people on here with a question like this: I had sex on February 12, 2007 and now my period is late. Am I pregnant? Ok, if you took sex ed. wouldn't you know the answer to your own question? I know that some people are on here with genuine questions about pregnancy, getting pregnant, and taking care of their kids, but what is up with all of the "Am I pregnant?" questions. THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY WE COULD KNOW. 99% of us aren't doctors. Just because you don't have a period does NOT mean you're pregnant. If you have unprotected sex, YOU WILL GET PREGNANT. Maybe not this time, but if you keep on you will. Anyways, so basically my question is how many of you took sex ed.? Thanks for reading my rant!

She txt me yesterday with pictures of the 6 month little boy with blue eyes and says he is mine. And that she wanted me to see my son because she is putting him up for adoption. Well he has blue eyes and neither of us dont. Infact i am mixed blk-hisp and she is white (if that matters). But since she wont let me see him(moved to another city) and i cant do a paternity test if i find out what his blood type is and it matches mine that means he is really mine right? And if it doesnt match that means he isnt right?? I need help cause i need to know before i loose him forever.

Last night when my ex brought my daughter home from a visit he mentioned that she had eaten a lot of cheese for a snack. He's a great guy and loves her a lot but he is a little oblivious. He just let her keep eating it when she's ask for more. She's 7 years old.

Now I am afraid she will get painful constipation. Is there anything I can feed her today to ward off constipation? Any suggestions are appreciated!

We are debating if we should have a second child. If so, then we will be trying in the new year (2008). That means that my first child will be 6years old by the time her brother/sister is born.
what do you think of that age difference? would you rather just stick to having one child as the age gap might be to big or would you still try for a 2nd child??

my child lacks consentration when im trying to read or learn her stuff, i make it fun and ask her whats a fun way for her to learn but still after only a couple of minutes she's not intrested and she starts messing about. she's on that amega3 to help her concentrate
as anyone had the same experience and tryed things that work?
or any suggestions.
my child is 6 if that makes in easier for you to answer the question

I have a really close good friend of mine that I can share everything with tell me this....
I use the checking cervical position technique in means of determining ovulation but I keep track of it every day just to make note. and usually after I ovulate my cervix returns to a harder texture and is still a bit open and remains that way until I start my period. I noticed a few days maybe two or three after ovulation that my cervix is mushy like and sealed shut, my friend told me that a egg had fertilized and it was the cervix's way of keeping it in to see if it implants or not, well today I have been having a ton of cramping not normal pre period cramping though and usually after ovulation my cervical mucus stays abundant and now it is completely dry down there sometimes a bit watery but that is it. Could what my friend told me possibly be true?? I can't take a pregnancy test as it is too early for that I just want advice and opinions on what you think of my friends advise
