My brother and I compete to give the most information to one parent or the other whenever there is gossip on the other side of the family.

Does anyone else out there do this?

We are in our early 30's, parents been divorced for 20 years, thoughts about this?

I think that this is a great way to poke fun at your parents who obviously play along.

I actually do this a little to my grandma and I just can’t help it. My Gramma is so nosey and into others’ business that when I was over one day and saw the guy across the street washing his windows, I called my Gramma over from the kitchen to watch. “Gramma look! The guy across the street is washing his windows!” and she came bustling in to have a look and of course told me a thing or two about him (including name, marital status, when he moved in & occupation.)

So, while my brothers and I don’t do what you do (the dynamic is way different), what you do sounds super fun!

Wow! Are you for real??? Your parents have been divorced for 20 years and they still care about what the other is doing? What's worse... at your and your brother's ages you run back and forth after all of these years with gossip?

Points are earned? Is this between you and your brother or are your parents giving these points? Sick.

My thoughts are you definitely need professional help and need to grow up. Everyone needs to get over it already. You sound very immature, untrustworthy, self-centered and lacking loyalty.

Wonder how you would feel if you were betrayed like this by your own children? Very sad.

actually we both try to stay out of it, lest we be dragged into the drama. but then, my parents have only been seperated for 3 years and still going to trial... my brother's been disowned by my mother's side for talking to my dad, i've been outcasted and on the edge of being disowned (was renting from my mom's mom & she kicked me out cuz i talk to my dad).
personally i don't revel in drama, so i try to say as little as possible about one parent to the other.

I can understand it in your teens and early 20's but now it sounds very juvenile.
