I have a really close good friend of mine that I can share everything with tell me this....
I use the checking cervical position technique in means of determining ovulation but I keep track of it every day just to make note. and usually after I ovulate my cervix returns to a harder texture and is still a bit open and remains that way until I start my period. I noticed a few days maybe two or three after ovulation that my cervix is mushy like and sealed shut, my friend told me that a egg had fertilized and it was the cervix's way of keeping it in to see if it implants or not, well today I have been having a ton of cramping not normal pre period cramping though and usually after ovulation my cervical mucus stays abundant and now it is completely dry down there sometimes a bit watery but that is it. Could what my friend told me possibly be true?? I can't take a pregnancy test as it is too early for that I just want advice and opinions on what you think of my friends advise

I AM NOT WANTING SCRUTINY OVER CHECKING MY CERVIX FOR OVULATION I HAVE DONE RESEARCH ON DOING IT AND WHEN DONE PROPERLY IT CAN BE AN EFFECTIVE WAY OF DETERMINING OVULATION. I WAS JUST WONDERING IF WHAT MY FRIEND SAID COULD POTENTIALLY BE TRUE.

It sounds simplified but correct, and you symptoms sound like implantation.

Actually your friend is wrong...

The cervix have an opening the size of a pencil point so I doubt you even know what you are feeling there. After the sperm travels up past the cervix, through the uterus, and into the fallopian tubes; If there is an egg there to be fertilized and fertilization is successful the fertilized egg will then travel down into the uterus and attach to the uterine wall... at that point the cervix form a mucus plug that will close up the opening as protection for the maturing embryo.

You cannot predict ovulation by merely feeling your cervix.

it really does not matter if it could be true. You still have to wait a few days and take a pregnancy test. Then you will know. Hang in there and best wishes for a healthy baby.

generally when you are pregnant you have more mucus. Why are you checking your cervix? Also if you are TTC stress can do funy things and make your period come late or really early.

My advice would be to ask a professional, and not rely on a friend's information if you are unsure.
