You have to increase fibre intake. This means the introduction of more plant foods. Pureeing watery fruits like pears, peaches and prunes will be very helpful. Don't however let a baby have fruit juice concentrate. Or if this can't be done, there are formulas which include more fibre than others. The diet for a baby's diarrhoea is Bananas, Rice and Applesauce. So lessening these foods should help the constipation.

It can be distressing to watch you child suffer from abdominal pain and constipation. Luckily, even chronic constipation can be managed. Most of the time in children constipation results from poor eating habits. It can be a daunting task to keep track of your child’s eating habits, especially nowadays when both parents typically work to make ends meet. It also doesn’t help that with the limited time you have, you’re usually serving quick and easy meals before rushing to soccer, karate, school events, and sleepovers. These highly processed fast foods are loaded with fats and chemical preservatives that hinder your digestive system’s ability to function efficiently.
More advantageous than any exercise routine or fad diet is simply to start eating better. Making educated choices when it comes to the food you eat is the best way to improve your family’s health. Easy ways to help your child overcome his or her constipation include having them eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, severely reducing sweets and sugary drinks, add more fiber to the menu, and have them drink more water every day. If your child is typically sedentary, preferring the PlayStation® to the playground, you need to implement more physical activity into their schedules. Exercise helps the colon work more efficiently; and, whether we’re talking about adults or children constipation is just the result of poor digestive health.

Try getting her to eat something a little greasy. Maybe a hamburger..etc. If for some reason she is constipated, you can buy a laxative for kids called FLETCHER'S laxative for kids. It is root beer flavor, and taste good. Works well. I have a 7 year old son, who loves cheese also. Just keep an eye on her and ask. She'll let you know. Good Luck!

If she does get constipated, a simple solution is to give her toast smeared with honey (not recommended for children under 2, though) and apple juice. The two together make a great natural laxative.

Get her to drink some more water and lots of fresh fruit. That should help! If she still exhibits signs of it, try a mild children's stool softener--your ped. can recommend a brand.I wouldn't recommend lots of fiber (as the others are) because children's intestines can't handle the bulk overload, it may actually make it worse initially. Stick with the prunes and fresh fruit (at least 3 servings) and at least three extra glasses of water.

Fruit might help. Has she ever had problems with cheese binding her up before? If she does become constipated, some prune juice should do the trick. Just don't overdo it. We don't want things moving that rapidly. :)

When my daughter gets constipation, I give her 1 tablespoon of Karo syrup (the clear kind), the best thing is to mix it with fruit punch cause she won't be able to detect it at all but it will help her go to the bathroom with out any problems.

Applesauce is a good food to give her and have her drink extra liquids, like grape juice or water.
I wouldn't worry too much though. My son got in the fridge and ate a pound of cheddar cheese before anyone realized what he was doing and he was fine. (He was 4 at the time)

flax seed tea is a natural laxative. Just boil some flax seed in water for about 5 min. or so and pour the water into a cup let it cool to a saft temperature for her to drink and you can sweeten it with honey or kayro syrup.
