My daughter will be 1 in 2 weeks, and her pediatrician told me to begin giving her whole milk. She was fine for the first 3-4 days, but now she gets really acidic diarreah. IS this normal, or could she be lactose intolerant? She was breastfed, and at 7 months was switched to formula with no issues.. Does this sound like lactose intolerance to any of you?

Even we force her to eat, she is not swalloing or spitting the food, she just keeps the food in her mouth for 5-10 min. and then spits slowly, she is 8 month and only 14 pounds. could any body please help me in sloving her food problem. we consulted the doctor he said she is below the grap and did blood test, noting came out, except that she is low in iorn and we are giving her some iron drops.

This has just recently started this week. He is 7 mths old. When he goes down for a nap he is asleep and then 15-20 mins into his nap he is waking up screaming!! If I stand there and rub/pat his back he will fall back to sleep but I refuse to do that everytime he naps. If I don't rub/pat his back then he will just keep screaming until I finally go in and just get him up and say forget the nap. We are both very stressed out!! HELP!!

i went to a childbirth preparation class with my husband a few weeks ago and the instructor said that when i get to the stage during labor when the baby is "crowning" that there might come a point where the doctor will ask me if i want an episiotomy or if i want to try to push her out naturally and risk tearing, so my question is...is it common to tear or need an episiotomy to get the baby out...and if it is then which one would/did you choose...i know this can be a touchy subject but i am really concerned about it and the best way for me to allay my fears is to hear from women who have gone through it already

When i ask questions about solid food and how/when they are introduced, people that answer get thumbs down more than thumbs up..

for example, question i posted not too long ago.. about having 3 meals of baby food a day, at what age.. most people said about 5-6 months... Most got at least 1 thumbs down... WHERE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT DIDNT AGREE WITH THEIR ANSWER... why don't they asnwer themselves??

hello. i just turned 20 in june and have a 4 months old son. i still breastfeed him and i plan to do so until he is a year old. i do have one question though. i bled for 5 weeks after he was born and i haven't since. what is the average that a women's cycle returns if she exclusively breastfeeds for a year. i know everyone is different but i would like to know how it was for everyone else. not that i am in a rush but just curious i guess

my baby is 4 1/2 months old, and our dr says we should start the "gerber cry it out method"

right now she wont sleep in the crib only the car seat, and only when we rock her to sleep.

the dr says it's important that she sleeps in the crib and puts her self to sleep.

can anyone talk about their experience with it.
provide tips, guidance, suggestions, etc.

IMPORTANT: we have decided with our dr to try this method, so please no lectures, on how this is bad for the baby. im not here for that, im here for feedback from people who have tried this

thanks!

How much and how often do you feed your seven month old? I want to know if I'm on the right track... I'm a first time mom and I'm trying to adjust to the whole eating and bottle too!) She enjoys most fruits and veggies (though nothing green...just like her daddy) and eats a variety of ones that I puree. Does this sound like a good feeing schedule - I am following her cues and she's the same most days. (She is a good height and weight, btw)

5:45 am 5 oz bottle
8:00 am 2 oz of fruit, and occasionally a bit of yogurt or barley cereal if still hungry
9:30 5 or 6 oz bottle
1:00 2 or 3 oz fruit and veggies, 3 to 4 oz bottle
4:30 bottle (5 to 6 oz)
7:00 oatmeal (about 4 or 5 tablespoons), 6 oz bottle and bedtime (sleeps through night)

Thanks for the help!

I called the dr. about it a few days ago and the nurse called me back and just told me to take motrin and use a heating pad. I've already tried that and nothing helps. Today the pain is worse than ever. It started in my lower back and is now going up my back and into my hips. Even though the nurse was unconcerned I am starting to go crazy, can't sleep or get comfortable, and am just feeling awful. What can I do? Help!

We have a 3 month old daughter, and my husband thinks she hates him, lol. Almost every time he picks her up, she cries. I tell him it's because he gets frustrated and she can sense it, but he doesn't believe me. I stay at home with her and breastfeed, so she and I have bonded pretty well. How can I help him get along with her better?

Honey isn't a major ingredient in the bread, it's not listed on the front of the bag, I was just reading the ingredient list and saw that it's one of the ingredients about half way down the ingredient list.

If the honey is baked in a product is it safe to give to a baby/toddler?

I am giving a baby shower for the first time for my sister in law. I am doing it at my house and there will be about 25 people here. Can you please post any ideas you have about dainty finger foods I can serve? I want to do some really girlie stuff and give everyone a great experience. Or...do you think I should serve a full plate (like entree and sides). What is appropriate for a 3pm to 6pm party on a Sunday? Thanks!
