vinegar 1 cap full, snuggle fabric softener,
and use bigger bibs and carry a bunch of them
when the baby spits up, rinse it right away, and save it in a bag, you could also sray the stain stuff on it to hold the stain,
if you don't have any use hairspray.

Hah I used to soak all mine in the sink - in a solution of stain remover!! didn't smell - and I know exactly what you mean.

When your baby gets formula on it's clothes.... rinse immediately as this will also prevent staining.
