How much and how often do you feed your seven month old? I want to know if I'm on the right track... I'm a first time mom and I'm trying to adjust to the whole eating and bottle too!) She enjoys most fruits and veggies (though nothing green...just like her daddy) and eats a variety of ones that I puree. Does this sound like a good feeing schedule - I am following her cues and she's the same most days. (She is a good height and weight, btw)

5:45 am 5 oz bottle
8:00 am 2 oz of fruit, and occasionally a bit of yogurt or barley cereal if still hungry
9:30 5 or 6 oz bottle
1:00 2 or 3 oz fruit and veggies, 3 to 4 oz bottle
4:30 bottle (5 to 6 oz)
7:00 oatmeal (about 4 or 5 tablespoons), 6 oz bottle and bedtime (sleeps through night)

Thanks for the help!

10:30 4-5 oz bottle
1:00 lunch-fruit and veggies
3:00 5 oz bottle

My son is turning 8 months next week and his looks like this

6:30 am 5-6 oz formula
9:30ish Gerber DHA fruit and cereal (they have 2 varieties)
noon 5 oz bottle
3pm 2nd stage veggie
5:30 pm 5 oz bottle
7:30 pm rice or oatmeal cereal prob 5-6 table spoons
then a bath and getting ready for bed
8:30pm 6 oz bottle then sleeps through the night

Looks like your on track!! I really just let him tell when he's ready to eat but I try to stick to the schedule. I'm a first time mom too, and I know it's never like the book said it would be :) Good luck!!

You're doing really well, considering the baby is happy with this schedule and she's still drinking quite a bit of formula, so no matter what food you add, she's still going to do pretty good. And what a great mom! Blending up fresh fruit & veggies for her! I think I would include the barley cereal in her first meal regularly, maybe even mix it with the fruit and/or yogurt.

Is she feeding herself little bits of food yet? Try some cheerios or quartered bananas. Saltine crackers, etc. Food that basically melts in baby's mouth without too much chewing.

About this age my sister introduced my daughter to french fries. And then ketchup. My daughter (21 now) still eats every potato available anywhere. (And she's thin as a rail!)

You're doing a great job, I can tell by the conscientious way you're feeding your little girl. Enjoy dressing her in cute little outfits now, because once they get 5 or 6 years old, Mom doesn't get to pick out the clothes anymore :(.

If you need reassurance you have it, but you've picked up on all the right things yourself-- feeding her when she gives you cues and the fact that she sleeps through the night tells you her tummy is full when she goes to bed. Every baby is different so every baby's schedule and amount is different. For instance, my son ate A LOT more than your daughter, but he also stayed in the 90th percentile most of his infant life! :) If your baby is content throughout the day and sleeps through the night you are probably feeding her just right. If you're still concerned, check with your pediatrician at her next check up and he/she will be able to reassure you more!

honey i was the same way with my first.
This sounds like a fairly healthy diet but if i were you i would try to introduce some meats with the veggies
the baby is seven months old and should be able to handle them.
there are many at the grocery store.
Chicken, beef and even turkey
i would try a few of those at least once or maybe even twice aday
