There need to be times every day when he's hungry and the only things you offer will prevent constipations: fruit and veggies. If those are the only snacks available and he's truly hungry, he'll eat them.

You can make it fun by making stick figures out of carrots or celery, offering the classic "ants on a log," or making a face on his plate. Offer dips. Float fruit in Jell-O.

Don't peel fruits with edible peel (like apples and pears). You can also make sure he's drinking enough and getting enough fiber through grains. It's never too early to minimize white breads and other baked goods made with white flour, saving them for foods that are weird with faintly-sweet whole wheat. (Think pizza crust, hamburger or hot dog buns.)

First, get him used to healthy foods. However, in the meantime, I would sneak prune juice into my daughter's juice to help her when she was constipated. You can also give him a spoonful of mineral oil so he's not constipated (keep it in the fridge because it makes it sweet). I told my daughter it was yummy and put it in a medicine baby dropper so she would take it all. Good luck!

sometimes this happen due to diff health food we add in their milk like bournvita so stop that if u r giving your baby any calcium suppliment that can also cause constipation my son too had this problem.

* Add spinach to everything he eats chop it fine and sprincle like coriander or add puree and your baby should drink a lot of water
* You too eat and drink juices with him that is how he'll take interest in eating. And u enjoy the food so will he, because he is going to follow what he sees and not what he is being instructed.

Give him lot of water and soak dry grapes for an hour take the essence and give it to him he would feel happy and try to give him pineapple juice (i.e grind the pineapple and give him without adding sugar or milk plain and pure) it would kill the germs and he would pass the motion very well and he would feel the hunger and he would eat nicely. i have given this to my 21/2 year old son so all the best

My daughter has been plagued with constipation from day one. It is from too much iron. Her Doc has me put a little bit of prune juice in her formula and she also gets prunes(pureed of course) every once in awhile and it has helped to keep her regular. Anything with fiber should help the little guy get back on track!

Take the child to a child doctor.

See what the doctor gives or says.

Not "Eating well" and "Constipation" go hand in hand.

I have used apple juice and white grape juice for this problem, BUT, it could be a medical problem that a doctor should diagnose. I babysat for a little girl that had bowel problems and ended up having a hernia.

The natural way- bananas, spinach, dry grapes and vegetable soups.
Or laxatives.

I treat my 2 yr old son the natural way, and has awsome results.

Give him/her lots of water and fruit/veggies. If possible give spinach - it works as a laxative.
