I called the dr. about it a few days ago and the nurse called me back and just told me to take motrin and use a heating pad. I've already tried that and nothing helps. Today the pain is worse than ever. It started in my lower back and is now going up my back and into my hips. Even though the nurse was unconcerned I am starting to go crazy, can't sleep or get comfortable, and am just feeling awful. What can I do? Help!

I know this may sound strange, but pay close attention to your bowel movements. a lot of women have a constipation issue after giving birth that they are simply to busy or tired to notice. Try taking a laxative to see if that helps. This is what happened to me after my first son.... I thought it was just a pain from the birth, but it was constipation. Who would have thought you could feel it in your back so prominently?

If you are sure the pain could be in no way linked to constipation then you may want to see a chiropractor. Labor and delivery can strain a woman in so many ways. The nurse was right in telling you to take a motrin to stifle the pain, but that doesn't fix the problem.
