Every other question asked on yahoo answers is stupid. Do these new parents really exist or are they just trying to be funny? What a sad world we live in with all of these morons reproducing.

I keep coming across more and more things I've never heard of! I asked a question about weight and someone said that their baby has it's head measured...I'd never heard of that! So I ask a question about that and someone says they have it done at Well Baby Visits...I've never heard of that either!!

My 8 month old has never had to go the the doctors, she's never (touch wood) been unwell....

So what is a Well Baby Visit?

Every night at around 3am he wakes up with bad wind pains that last untill around 11am, when he has a bowel movement and then he is fine again. The only thing that seems to help is vigorously rubbing his lower back. He is formula fed and on the advice of my health visitor i have been giving him 1 ounce of water a day. I don't think he is constipated as he does have a bowel movement everyday, but he seems in such pain and looks to be straining himself all the time. Can anyone help? Has this happened to you and what did you do about it?? Thanks for the comments.

Is it a bad idea to microwave the bottle liners? Has anyone done this? I only microwave the bottles at 15sec max. Just trying to think of easier and faster ways to make formula. Thanks.

I'm 14 years old, and I'm wondering if anyone could help me. You see, my cousin, who was 5 months and 12 days old, suddenly died while my aunt left him on the bed. The following symptoms are these: his sclera developed black patches, his back developed some form of rash after a while, and after 3 or 4 hours, his hands and feet turned slightly blue. My mother, who is a doctor out of practice for a while, says she can't figure out whether it's a disease or whether he was poisoned. For my part, I rather am inclined to think the latter, for he was a perfectly healthy baby with no signs of disease whatsoever. Any suggestions?

My first child was born c-section after I pushed for two hours. I am now pregant again and seeing a new doctor because I moved. She said if I plan on having more then 2 children ( I am not), she would recommend VBAC but if this is my last one, a C-section would be low risk. I have a few months to make my decision.

My nine month old son fell down to stairs about a half hour ago and hit his head on a solid oak corner and then on a wicker basket. He has two large bumps that he doesn't want me to touch. (He promptly whines, jerks his head away and/or pushes away my hand.) Where he hit the corner, there is what looks to be a wound but there was no blood and no fluid. Just scratched the surface. He isn't unconsolable and his pupils seem fine but he is very tired, although it is past his bedtime. Should I let him go to sleep or keep him awake? And what symptoms should I keep an eye out for? Should I have called 911?

Any good ideas on getting baby to sleep on her own? I have been having her co-sleep with me but i ran into a personal problem i sleep deep and am afraid of hurting her i have accidently hit my husband in the past and i don't want to hurt her so for her saftey i want to transition her into her bed the only way she will go to bed at night now is by falling asleep to my breast while im laying down in bed so any suggestions? I usually don't go to bed until at least 11pm so that's usually when she goes to bed too, everytime i put her down she starts to cry so i pick her back up should i just rock her until she falls asleep and not give in by giving her the boob or give her the boob and try to get her in her bed? thanks for suggestions.

i am only going on 32 weeks pregnant, and my doctors are worried that i might go into premature birth. they said i am showing signs of contractions (even though i cant really feel them) and i am already dialated 1cm.

they had me go on medical leave from work already, and have me pretty much glued to the bed or couch. they said that too much activity can help encourage an onset of prematur labor.

other then that, i feel fine, except a lil worried...

has anybody else been in a situation similar to this? if i do go into premature labor, what will my baby boy look like when he comes out? i have never seen what a premature baby looks like before. and what are the survival rates for my baby if he is born early? again.. i am going on 32 weeks (8months) this weekend.

My baby has been weighed 3 times, once at birth, once at 8 days, and once at 12 weeks. She is now eight months old and I guess around 19lbs. People who have weighed their child more than this, can you tell me why? Everyone seems to be weighing left right and centre. My motto is as long as it goes in one end, comes out of the other and is happy in the middle, there's no worries!!!

Thankyou all in advance for your answers :)

My newborn has a reflective pupil, the other one is fine but this one is like a cat or a fox and is reflective all of the time. Is she okay or do I need it looked at?

I've always had boobs on the large size but they seem to be gradually getting larger. I've even lost 2 stone and am now 9 stone but the boob size hasn't changed. Just wondering if I breastfeed when I have a baby would this reduce the breast size? Hate my boobies

My daughter got her two-months vaccines last Wednesday and had a low fever lasting for 3 days. We took her to our pediatrician, he decided to give her a urine test by catheter. They did that very roughly, as you know what this mean to a baby girl. After that, she cries, screams and upset as long as we lie her on her back or wake up especially when we change her diaper. How could I smooth her, my poor sweety. She looks like not trust her mom and dad because they didn't give her protection when she feel unhelpful. She was a happy girl smiling all the time except hungry. Parents, who knows how pediatricians generally do an infant urine test, use catheter or just wait for the baby's normal pee? Thanks.
A worring mom.

but I can't help but to laugh.....=] now that he has mastered crawling he gets into everything (but his toys) lol i have "baby proofed" as much as i can....but he still finds the few things that can't be moved.
i have tried everything i can think of....now that he is on the move, he hates his swing, walker, play pin, johnny jumpper, and even the thing you wear and carry him in.......(he don't even show much intrest in toys anymore) ~unless they are my 4 yr old's toys~ lol prob. cause he knows they are a "no-no" lol

is there anyone that has an idea how i can keep him out of stuff? i cant get anything done unless he is napping (and thats most of the time once a day for about 30 mins.)
i tell him "no"......but he 'is' only 6 mos. .....so, not much good that is =] lol

so if anyone can help..........=]

*by the way it took me 40 mins. to type this (due to running after him) lol
