A lot of it comes from being put into a role that playing dolls hasn't prepared ANYONE for (not THAT much can go wrong with a doll)
People tend to be nervous considering that they're responsible for another human life, it's not something that many people have "stored knowledge" about.
Add to that...no matter how prepared you might think you are...something will ALWAYS come up that will utterly blind-side you, something that you had no way in the world to expect to happen.
Additionally our society is one of judgement (a perfect example is your morons reproducing statement) if something comes up with their child that isn't handled "just so"... others, like yourself and so many others, are chomping at the bit to jump down their throat to tell them how it SHOULD have been dealt with, most parents will go to any end to avoid that.
This being said...I agree that in some cases, just because you can...doesn't mean you should (reproduce) however, at the same time, if it's a question that you feel is moronic or beneath you to answer, in all of your infinite parenting knowledge, skip the question and go on to something else.

Its caused by a generation where the Surgeon Generals warnings helped the idiots survive long enough to reproduce. We're now overrun with them.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about. The other day I found a package of silicon pellets in some shoes. It was labeled ( DO NOT EAT ). If someones stupid enough to eat a package they find in their shoes they deserve to die, get them out of the population before they pass on those idiotic genes. Who's that label for ? You can't say toddlers, they can't read & if they can hopefully they already have the good sense not to eat something from their shoes.
Its just sad....

Well, the way I see it is you have to learn somehow... Some people grow up in small families with parents that shelter them.... and when they get out into the real world they don't know as much as other people... Yahoo Answers should be a place that people can go and ask those "stupid" questions and not worry about what others think. If you think they are stupid go on and don't read them...Not all people are as "smart" as you... and they need a place they can go to build their self esteem. Its easier to ask on-line then ask someone face to face... They are not stupid, just not as experienced as others..... there are no stupid questions.

They come from the same place as you do. Haven't you ever heard the only stupid question is the one unasked. You have never ever wondered anything and just not had a clue?
Try to remember that you are reacting to a conglomeration of what you perceive as stupid. These are individuals. If you're so good, then help them.

You might have a point, but also you would be surprise of how much you can still learn from these people, in this questions and answers site, you only read different opinions to see if you are doing what the majority is doing, well that's what I do, but in real problems I always go to the expert, in this case the pediatrician.

Well then why are you on here if you think everything is stupid? Some parents have never had experience with kids so they REALLY don't know. Other ppl on here have had lots of experience and are more than willing to help others and give them adivce on what they should do.

Obviously you don't have a new baby that you love very much and you are petrified that you will make the slightest mistake and ruin their lives. It is a wonderful scary experience. They will get better and realize that a small mistake will not scar the baby for life, but then we will get a new batch. Grin and bear it.
