How many ozs of water can a 10 month old have in additon to formula and food. He does not take any juice but loves water. I did not want to give him too much, or more than the daily rec value for a 20 lbs boy.

I am 26 weeks and my mom has just decided she is going to buy a thing of diapers every week until baby is here..

I am wondering, how many newborn diapers should we get and how many of the next size up. Can you exchange them? Thanks!

I used to have no problem with rocking her to sleep, but now it's just not working for us, because first of, it's hard for me to even keep her on my lap (she keeps moving and trying to slide off of my lap to go to the floor and play) When I finally get her to stay still, I rock her for like 30 minutes, and when she finally falls asleep, I bring her to her crib, and as soon as she feels that I'm putting her down, she opens her eyes, pulls herself up and starts fussing, or even wailing...
I seriously need some tips, please, cause I'm going bonkers...
Of course, I do this after feeding her, changing her diaper, dimming the lights, and giving her Tylenol (she's teething)

P.S: she won't let me read her a story either, she only wants to "eat" the books...

I'm pretty sure thats what my doctor said. My sister in law told my daughter to "knock it off." when she was crying. She was only like 6 months old at the time, so it really ticked me off. Sis in law was like "come on, shes faking it, shes not even crying tears!" I wanted to smack her and say "shut up idiot, shes hungry and tired, she had every right to cry, its not like she can talk." dont you hate it when people are like that? Anyway, isnt the whole thing about them not being able to cry tears for quite a while true?

He gets fed up with the baby crying so he yells back, "WAAAAAH WAAAAH! SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT? THAT'S HOW I FEEL! WAAAAAH WAAH!"

Brian Griffin did that on Family guy lol.

But for the past 2 weeks or so he has been waking up at least twice per night. I breast feed him like always, but he does not seem satisfied and won't go back to sleep until he drinks a bottle of formula. I am currently breastfeeding and formula feeding during the day. I was thinking maybe he's going through a growth spurt or maybe he's teething. I even took him out of his cradle and put him in his big crib because I thought he may not be comfortable, but that still did not help. I was thinking of giving him cereal in a bottle of formula before bed, but wasn't sure how to make it up. Do I cut the nipple to make it larger? Does anyone have any other suggestions as to why he is getting up again and what Ican do?

My female friend's niece is 5 years old. One day I brought them out to shopping mall during Chinese New Year. Kids love to look around and be fascinated by sight and sounds of the crowds in the mall. I led her by hand, talked to her, hugged her and carried her. The challenge is, she loves to speak about something without looking into my face, she just say what she wanted to say and she is not exactly shy, in fact she enjoyed being carried by me. Why won't she look at me?

It breaks my heart. His face will get all red and he's just straining and grunting. I breastfeed. His bowel movements are the right color, not hard pellets or anything, but maybe a little pasty. I just feel like something's wrong or like he's having trouble passing gas and pooping. Any reassurances or explanations?

Last night my baby wouldn't go to sleep. I tried rocking her, but she just kept "wiggling" off of my lap... I finally let her go to the floor and play a little. When my husban's mom returned from work, she was amazed to see the baby still up. I told her I tried to rock her, gave her a bottle, etc... She picked her up and rocked her. My baby wouldn't let me rock her, but she let her grandma rock her to sleep... Same thing today at nap time...
My baby doesn't even say "mama", however, she says "dada", "Oscar" (the dog's name) and yesterday she said "nana"...
Am I such a bad mom that my child doesn't like me anymore?... What is wrong with me?

I have a three week old newborn and my nurse told me that they are supposed to grow an ounce a day. So how much should she be eating? Since we brought her home she has been eating 2 oz of formula, but now she cries after 2 oz and wants more. How much is too much in a 3-4 hour period? My fiance won't feed her more than 2 oz and when I feed her I try and give her 3 oz because she seems well satisfied afterwards and doesn't cry for more, but I don't want to be feeding her too much.

My son is 3 1/2 months old. He sleeps with me at night. We would like him to sleep in his bassinet but he won't sleep there. Rather, he sleeps for a time, but always wakes up in the middle of the night (when he's with me, he will sleep all night) So, if I want a good nights rest he comes with me, or if I want to be up all night I put him in the bassinet.
We thought maybe it was because he was cold (It is VERY cold here and the house doesn't get very warm) So we dressed him warm and wrapped him up in a blanket and then covered him with another one, but he still wakes up at night. He's not hungry (although he does eat when he wakes up and then goes back to bed) but since he doesn't wake up while he sleeps with me, I've ruled that out.
Any suggestions on how I can maybe keep him warmer or transition from co-sleeping to being alone in the bassinet?
This is my fourth child and I've never had a problem with this before, but this one is really clingy!
