She may have outgrown naps. Be thankful that she sleeps all night long. A nap may make her sleep less at night.

well that depend on the age of the baby/toddler.

If she is still napping and it is on the couch then let her nap on the couch. Yes it means that you have to be quite during nap time but at least she is sleeping during the day a little bit. Once those naps disappear it is real hell until they learn bed time.

If you really want her to sleep ing her crib for nap put her in there and let her cry. go in and be firm say no and lay her back down. after about 3-4 weeks should be all set.

But really if she is used to laying down with you and now you want to change it then it is going to be hard on her. Any change is hard for a child to make that is why you have to make suttle changes overtime and don't rush things

good luck

She may not need naps any longer, or she may not WANT to nap in her crib. Show me the law that states a baby HAS to take a nap in their crib. My daughter napped wherever she felt like sleeping. Sometimes she'd toss all of her stuffies on the floor and fall asleep on top fo them with a blanket over her. Sometimes she'd get into her "play tent" and fall asleep. Maybe your daughter isn't comfortable napping in her crib.

My daughter had the same problem. The first few months of her life we let her sleep on us then transitioned her to the couch to get used to sleeping alone but with me still in the room eventually we moved her up to her crib. The doctor recommended to us that we let her cry it out which we didn't need to do but I know that has worked for some of my friends. Unfortunately every baby responds differently so you may need to try a couple of things before she will sleep in her crib.

She associates that the crib is used for sleep at night and during the day she is supposed to be awake when everyone else is awake. I would love for my grandson to have this nighttime habit. He is 8 months and wakes up 3 times a night.

I think there is nothing to "fix."

If she stays up instead of naps...she may not be tired. By the time bed-time comes she can sleep through the night, because now her little body needs the recovery time.

If she napped when you wanted her to, she might not sleep through the night. Would you rather her be up at night and you having to tend to her and losing sleep yourself or tending to her in the day when you are also up and around.

My son did the same thing, during the day he would fall asleep in his swing so I would take him to his crib, nope, he'd wake right up, but he'd sleep all night long in his crib. With my son we started doing his night time "ritual" with him during the day (which for my son is just putting on his mobile and making it dark), but now if we lay him in his crib during the day he goes right to sleep.

The room may not be dark enough. You should get some blackout curtains and put them up in her windows. Or change the time that you have been giving her a nap, push it back an hour until she's a little sleepier. Good luck!

because she associates the crib with night time sleep. For naps just put her in her playpin or babycarriage

my son wouldn't either. he would wake up everytime i moved him to his crib after he fell asleep at nap time. he would only take naps if he was around everyone else. i could vaccume and not wake that child. he would sleep in his swing, on a blanket on the couch surrounded by pillows, or his bassinet. hope that helps!
