Please help. I have a three week four day old baby and for the past week I have been giving him infacol to relieve his wind and colic. I was just wondering if it is safe to continue this for the next couple of months ?

He will probably grow out of it sooner that a couple of months but in the meantime your safe to go on using it as much as you need! There is nothingin it that can do harm in large doses.

If it isn't working though you should maybe ask your HV if there is anything else they can reccommend.

my son is 5 months old now, and i gave him infacol for about 3 months non-stop, he was fine. stopped using it at 4 months and brings up his wind perfectly on his own.

yes i did with both mine. my youngest is now 6 months and he really depended on it. colic only usually last for around three months. when your baby hits three months old just gradually wean him off it and you will probly find that the colic has then gone. its hard the first few months and if it helps your baby and cause sno harm then carry on. my doctor prescribed it me so if my son shouldnt of had it then my doctor was of said. good luck anyway and congrats on the lil baby. xxx

My first child (now 4) practically lived on it for the first 5 months. I stopped giving it to him when he beagn eating solids. He's a perfectly normal child, so I certainly don't think it will harm your child. Just make sure sure you keep to the directions on the bottle.

Well he may not need it for months, most Babies don't. But continue to give it before each feed for now, its perfectly safe, and just see how he goes.

my daughter was on it for months and it never did her any harm, it's only to help colic.
