My husband and I believe we should circumsize our son. The only thing keeping me from going for it is I'm worried about the pain my son will go through. He is a month old now, are there any medications to at least numb that part of the area when they do the procedure? What does the procedure consist of?

Please click on the link below for details. This will bring you to my 360 blog. I have recently become aware of a devoted grandfather's struggle to find justice for the brutal beating of his 16 month old graddaughter by her father. Please read his story! There is a link on the page where you can go to sign a petition that will be brought to the Mississippi Supreme Court. PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION!!! Our goal is to overwhelm them with support for this family from all over the world! Together we can make history and save children from abuse! Thank you!

The last question I posted was taken down, so I have a hunch I can't solicit business on Yahoo Answers - (or maybe it was similar to my last question). Anyway, I am trying to start a business making these baby books and I am having a tough time getting my idea out there - I even made up a web site and everything. I know eBay is a possbility but I am looking for other avenues to explore. All suggestions are welcome. And uhhhh if you are interested in what I am selling, you can always e-mail me privately but shhhhhh don't say anything to Yahoo about it ;-)

Personally I was in labor for 32 hours with my first, 16 with my 2nd and 9 with my 3rd child.
But I have friends that have had there first in 45 minutes after labor started. I never went for the first few hours. I would of had mine at home if it was that fast.

We tell women not to go till there constant and regular about 5 minutes. ( Or if your water breaks ofcourse), but to call the doctor at 10 minutes apart.
Mine personally were 2 minutes apart for at least 8 hours.

So help me out. How exactly did you know it was time to go in?

I know they recommend to wait at least 6 weeks to work out again after giving birth. So I was just wondering if anyone knows if there are ANY exercises at all that I can do before I actually start really getting back into my old full body work out routine and diet. I know they say it's ok to go walking...anything else? I started off 104 and ended in a 159 at the end of my pregnancy. Even though a few people got on my case about my eating habits when I was pregnant, I took FULL advantage of the "pregnancy apetite" and have NO regrets... i LOVED it!! Now, I REALLY want to get back to my normal weight again, not to mention that "after birth belly" I got is pretty annoying...still look about 5 1/2 months! I actually feel pretty good - pretty good recovery, just a minor tear and a little stitching, but that seems to be going down now. However, I don't want to risk doing anything to my body that may end up hurting me. Also, I am breastfeeding and I know that's supposed to help, too.

I thought of this when chatting with someone whose baby has acid reflux.

I know these days, the trend is "back to sleep" -- babies should be put to bed on their backs because it supposedly reduces the risk of SIDS (even though it can, at times, create a flattened back of the skull instead!)

My question is: what if a baby has reflux and spits up a lot? Should she still be put to sleep on her back while she's still too young to roll over and change positions? When I was a baby, I spit up a lot, including in my sleep. Due to the fact that I sometimes awoke with a pool of vomit next to me (GROSS but true!), wouldn't you agree that babies like myself should be put to sleep on their sides or tummies? Otherwise, they'd likely inhale and/or choke on their own vomit!! :O :[

Back in the 1970s, when I was born, I don't think there was any "campaign", one way or the other, about baby sleeping positions. But I'm sure glad my mom put me on my side and/or tummy! :)

For a guy, I think you girls are lucky that they're the ones that produce the baby within their body when all guys do is delivor a single tad pole like spirm. It's like the baby and all the generations that add to the world is a physical extension of the body. For a guy: am so jelious about that. It's like the women is the Thomas Edison who made the light bulb while the guys is like his assistent who only provided the raw materials. All you lucky mothers out their with your proud beautiful children, I'm not sure how you feel about this, but if I produced a breautiful baby, it would be oragasmic for me see it everyday. What do you think?
