OK, I told my neighbor about the idea and she said I was an idiot.

My dog can dance and sing and smokes so I guessed he could probably take care of a baby but now I know thats wrong.

It would be pretty ignorant to SUE them for something that didn't even break the skin. (Breaking the skin can also be like scraping your knee without it bleeding by the way.) Do you like your neighbors? At all? Have they ever done anything nice for you? Have they ever done anything wrong to you? (besides the dog bite, which the people themselves didn't do.) Saying that you want to sue them is saying you want to sue the dog. Which I think we can agree is silly. Now however, I don't know about there, But here, Its illegal to have a dog outside without a fenced in yard or at least a leash. Did the dog have a leash? Of course, you make it seem like it doesn't go out of the yard. Again, I think suing is a bad idea, As YOU could be charged with false reason. But you could call animal control and say that the dog bit you and no one was outside with it. Of course, I don't think you should do that. Infact, I think that before you do anything, You should talk to the people. And if the people say that they're sorry and it won't happen again, Then you should forget about suing or calling animal control. But if the people are nasty to you, Go ahead and call animal control. (Although, If it were me, I couldn't put ANY animal into harms way, and animal control often put dogs like that down without a chance.)

Well first you need to shave both the baby and the dog. The mutual humiliation will make give them a common enemy...you. Then lock them in a closet together for three days. If (when you open the door) the baby is riding the dog, we will have 2 more weeks of winter, if the dog is holding the baby, we will have an early spring. Also, send your dog to some parenting classes (but wait untill the hair grows back)

Call Child Protective Services.
They have special programs for that.
They just need the address where the baby is.
They are very friendly people.
When they arrive, make sure you offer them a beer.
