im still nursing and i got a milk blister over a month ago. well over a month ago. it was awful, but i nursed my son through it because that is what is supposed to make it get better.

well, now its worse. it is swollen up in the part where the blister is. tonight for the first time i tried to scrape it with a needle (recommended on kellymom, i think.. cant remember for sure) and the needle went in, no pain, as if there was a hole there. the white around the edges stayed.

its almost as if i have a canker sore on my nipple. that same white sore looking thing that is surrounding the hole. i dont know if i am describing it right. i would take a picture if i wasnt so shy about it.

anyhow... what could be wrong? what can i do to fix it, short of seeing a doctor? i dont have insurance yet so i cant go to one for another few weeks.

help! please!

Why do some people suggest changing your babies diaper before you feed them. My son (1 yr) often poops while I am breastfeeding him. I rather wait and change him after feeding. What do you think?

Before I ask how to make him fall sleep, I'd like to know why he doesnt fall sleep at night as easy as he does for his naps??
Taking naps is the easiest thing ever.... but at night time he just refuses to sleep.
HE is taking 2 or 3 naps (1 or 2 hours long) during the day.

I started her on enfamil and she would throw up like a projectile throw up and she would do this one day twice and then the next day once then some days none then i called doc and he switched me to simailiac lactose free for fussiness gas and spit up and she is still doing the same thing not as much but she is starting to act real fussy after she eats like she has gas we use the gas drops also...What could be the prob? At first I was doing both breast and bottle can that cause her to throw up switching like that? Would breast milk make her throw up like that? Could I just pump exclusively and feed it to her in the bottle and breast feed her when i could? I need help cause I am not too sure on what formul to use and how breast milk should make her react will she be fussy and throwing up a lot????

My daughter is 9 months old and a couple of weeks ago she was on an antibiotic for an ear infection. Well, she developed a bad rash and it has came and gone. I have tried dr.smiths, desetin, and aveeno. I have let her sit in bath water, and run around naked. I just don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions because she is miserable and I feel so bad for her? She is going to the doctor tomorrow because I think she has another ear infection. I just need some suggestions to make her comfy until she sees the doc. Thanks

Okay, I am going to attempt to breastfeed at least for the first 6 months... I know you can pump and store for several months in a freezer, but, is it really feasible to only pump? I would like to only pump and use bottles only so that I dont feel uncomfortable out in public or anything. I know I could breastfeed at home and pump and bottle feed the milk when Im out, but I think it would be easier to just pump and use a bottle all along... This would also include my husband more...
~What do you guys think?!

I made the mistake of letting my daughter co-sleep with my husband and I.Not olny is she sleeping in our bed but she is nursing her self back to sleep every time she wakes up(which is 2-3 times a night)I know I have created my own problem, but co-sleeping was easier in the begining, now it just causes all of us to loose sleep!

I have a week old baby boy and I am feeding him breast milk from the bottle {the delivery was really hard, he was born with apgar score 0 and I didn't get to see him for a while, so since we didn't start nursing right away and he wasn't completely healthy, he just couldn't suck and wasn't getting enought, so I started pumping my milk - works for us much better}, but he eats sooo much now - he would eat over 3 oz every three hours. Isn't it too much for a newborn? I am just curious how big can be stomach of such a tiny person... {he was 7 lb and 19 inches when born}

Is it necessary to warm bottles - did your baby ever accept room temp bottles?

Any tips you think would be helpful to those that may need to bottlefeed?

I had a pretty good labor and delivery but I was extremely sore and tired afterwards and wanted to recover, My milk came in pretty good at first and there were times when my nursing pads would be soaked if I didnt feed, but I am bottle feeding more and getting lazy on breast...I want to start pumping and nirsing more but I noticed that my milk has slipped off and not as much, if I start again will it come back in with a lot to be able to feed her on it alone and with no formula? How often would I need to pump and nurse???

Aren't these products full of preservatives? I'm a bit worried because Im a working mom and most of the time I stock up on these products to feed my 7 month old boy when I no longer have time to cook for him.

She 9 months old.
She eats finger foods, but when I spoon feed her, she tries to grab the spoon ... if I let her take it she'll just play with it, though...
When should I let her try to feed herself, and how can I teach her?

Thanks.
