babies can get colic at anytime. it's not something they are born with. too much wind can cause it. maybe your baby is gassy, try some mylicon. also research Dr. Harvey karp's the 4S's
i think they are swaddling, shushing, swinging and i don't remember the other.

usually the tight swaddling works.

also try walking around while holding. bad habit to start but if it works i would try it for a while. riding in a car works and white noise such as a hairdryer, vacuum, radio station with static.

also in your defense to those of you without kids if her baby is crying like she says, i know from experience she is too tired to care if the words are spelled correctly. hopefully you have some type of support system so you won't be tempted to hurt your child.

good luck

Of course development of colic in infants is very common.Baby behaves strangely and parents cannot understand hidden belly colic problems, colic, gas, acid reflex, indigestion can be treated strongly by baby magic tea.

absolutely, babies can develop colic at her age. both my girls had it and it sucked! what worked for me was laying her across my lap and gently rubbing her back, the pressure from your legs can help relieve the gas that's built up in her belly. burp her really well after each and every feeding and gas drops may also help. colic is nothing more than gas in her belly. it will pass but will take some time and lots of patience and hugs. good luck!

Three months old is a bit old to develope it. Colic starts with 3's.
3 weeks
3 hours of crying
3 days out of a week

At this age I would try to rule out teething, reflux and sickness.

i'm a father of a (almost) 4 year old..

colic is one thing that a parent should be aware of and prevent...

according to our customs (malaysia), colic is caused by 'wind' or commonly known as gas / acute gastric...

to aviod this, always keep the baby fed (meaning, never leave the stomach empty)
snacks or formulated milk...DON'T give anything cold unless the baby has finished breakfast/lunch/etc...

no direct contact with air-cond, fan..
if so, make sure the baby is well covered...

buy some vicks or minty baby oil (the ones that warms up after applying) and rub it on the tummy and back to ease breathing and to comfort the stomach...

if the baby doesn't want to eat/drink, don't force... just play around, calm the baby down and slowly, gently feed him/her....

3 month old babies are prone to colic so take good care of your baby...
most of the time, the baby just wants comfort as we (as parents) are not always around...be there for the baby....

hope this helps

(^_^)

What activity are you, or what is going on, during the 3pm - 6pm time frame that may be resulting in an adjustment issue for your little one. It may be something really simple or little thing that creates the big issue. If all else = talk to your doctor.

I WILL GIVE YOU SOME ADVICE ON COLIC. I THOUGHT IT WAS BULL AT FIRST "UNTIL" MY MOM MADE ME DO IT.
FIRST...PUT SOME COOKING OIL IN YOUR HAND. ENOUGH TO FIT IN THE PALM WITH OUT OVER SPILLING.
SECOND...TAKE THAT OIL MIX IT WITH BAKING SODA. MAKE A PASTE OUT OF THAT. ONCE MIXED IN YOUR HANDS THEN CLOSE YOUR HAND SO IT WILL STAY WARM.
THIRD....TAKE A RECEIVING BLANKIE FOLD IT LONG WISE ABOUT THREE TIMES. WARM IT OVER THE STOVE. DON'T LAY IT ON TOP OF THE STOVE OR YOU WILL BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN.
FOURTH...RUB THAT MIXTURE ON YOUR BABY'S BELLY, TAKE THAT WARM BLANKIE AND WRAP IT AROUND HIS BELLY AND BACK. PUT CLOTHES BACK ON BABY. TAKE MORE MIXTURE AND RUB BABY'S FEET, PUT SOCKS ON BABY. SWADDLE BABY NICE AND TIGHT AND ROCK OR BOUNCE BABY.
I SWEAR BY MY LIFE ON THIS ONE....IT WORKED ON ALL FOUR OF MINE!! GOOD LUCK!

Is she teething does she stop crying if you lightly rub her gums or are her gums red and swollen. If so try teething tablets they worked miracles with both of my kids.

yes they can. From the looks of your question you may need more help than you can get from yahoo and should contact a doctor (for you not the baby)
