Why do some people suggest changing your babies diaper before you feed them. My son (1 yr) often poops while I am breastfeeding him. I rather wait and change him after feeding. What do you think?

i change my daughter before i feed her only because during feeding she usually falls asleep and while burping her doesnt wake her to much, changing her diaper will fully awaken her.... so if i can get her to fall asleep for a nap i can get some things done around the house. plus the more food the baby takes in the more food will come out so a half full diaper will probably be full if not over full when you are done feeding.

as long as it is not too wet wait till he fills it.
but if he don't and then goes to sleep, then he is in a wet nappy for longer.
so judge it on when he last had a dump.
