just curious because I think babies grow to fast for it to be worth the money. I just used the floor or couch. What do you think?

I think it sounds like a great idea because you don't have to bend over and it grows with the child... now you should erase this question before someone steals your idea.

I have seen extendable tables at the department store where I live, but they were shaky and uncomfortable for babies. I once asked a sales person at Combi about this and she said that only wealthier customers buy them.
So if you do make an extendable table, you would have a few problems to overcome, and marketing the table may be difficult.
If you are an inventor, I would focus on a better toddler bed. I have NEVER seen a SAFE toddler bed. The safety sides on the beds are almost more dangerous than not having any at all.

P.S. And a bottle brush that doesn't scratch the bottle. I have only seen good ones that cost about $35 American and replacement heads are $15.

I had a changing table but never used it. There really inconvenient, and as far as I'm concerned they only take up space. I had a C section and didn't want to bring my first daughter up stairs to change her, so I would change her on the floor or couch, and since her crib was in my room I just changed her on and clothed her on my bed. I liked the diaper hangers the best. I think that first time moms would totally go for something like that but as a mother of 2 it's not any thing I would use again. Good luck.

I don't know if it will be a huge hit. It seems like a good idea but might not be worth the extra money.

The problem that I faced wasn't being too long for the changing table but to heavy to haul all the way up and down.

I don't like the extra room it would require either.

We hardly ever used the changing table except for after bath when he was an infant. Otherwise we just changed him in whatever room we happened to be in.

Not a bad idea, although by the time they are toddlers, they prefer to be changed on the move. The whole concept of lying still for a diaper change goes out the window!

There are changing tables like that. My crib has a changing table that is attached to it but when my son graduates to a full sized bed it will turn to a night stand or a dresser.

i think you should invent a changing table that fits in the corner and you can lay the baby in fornt of you vertically rather than horizontally. it could be rounded, like a 1/4 a pizza look so that it fits in a corner and i would buy it!

see this for my idea, its on myspace so that i could just draw it and show you.

I think there could be a good market for one. Maybe like a long dresser with a lipped top? or do you mean the portable changing pads?

good idea, i have hardly used my change table as we don't spend lots of time in baby's room where it is. another good idea would be some kind of hanging thing that would be really entertaining and keep them lying still until you finish, rather than them rolling over and trying to get away constantly!

IF you do invent it, do we get a cut of the money since we said it was good idea? I think we should get 25%.
