We wern't very serious and then i found out i was pregnant and we broke up. he didn't want the baby and pressured me to have an abortion. He wouldn't speak to me when i decided to have the baby and just before he was born told me he never wanted to see the child and would never recognise him as his own. After the baby was born i applied for centrelink and had to then apply for child support. The father opted for a dna test. When these results came back proving he was the father he told his parents that he had a child and came to see him. I am happy for him to spend time with the baby and i know that is the best thing for him. it is hard though because the father works away, and not on a regular schedual. He doesn't feel comfortable with giving him dinner or changing his nappies- although he does love him very much. He has only seen the baby a handful of times over 2 months. He has just told his brother and sister and now wants to take him to his sisters house by himself for half a day.

We went to our pediatrician today and she told us to give our 1-month old an ounce of prune juice every day, mixed with an equal amount of water. I meant to ask her, but how long does it take for him to start passing softer stools and will the prune juice make him gassy?

My baby boy is only 5 weeks old and he is such a good eater! sometimes I feel that he might benefit (and mommy too) from a cereal bottle at night so he will feel fuller and sleep longer...My husband says that he is way too young for that yet....What do you say?

I have heard that it was a myth and I have heard that it was true. So which is it. My babies doctor told me to feed her at bed time and it will help her sleep through the night. Is it true or not????

happens you are not supposed to stop breast feeding because you pass antibodies.to the baby that are supposed to protect the baby from whatever you may have already passed to them.
the doctor told her to stop nursing until she is better. who is right?
my wife said she wanted to throw something at me because its her body and i have no right to tell her what to do in this situation.
im afraid the baby could get very sick if she stops nursing. is this doctor right or wrong? i generally believe in qyestioning doctors because they make mistakes like everyone else

How and how fast did you get your body back after you had your baby? Was your body ever the same? Can I start working at like 2-3weeks? I am 22 pregnant with my first baby, 29 weeks and I am getting nervous about how I will continue to look 22 after I have the baby, Does it require hard core work outs? Can I do it with an eleptical machine or a stairclimber? I have(had) an average body, 5'6 120lbs and at seven months I have put on 17lbs so Im guessing I'll be at 145lbs at 40 weeks, or whenevr the baby comes:D any advise would be helpful

The manual emphasizes that you must keep baby rear-facing at least until 20 lbs. and one year old. Is it safer to keep her rear-facing even longer? Mine just turned both milestones and she would prefer the view facing forward, but it just seems she is safer backward for a while yet. Does anyone have more specific information on this?

If an un-married couple has a baby and the mother wants her last name and the father wants his last name, who wins? Does the mother have the final say legally? Does it change if they were married?

The Graco Pack and Play sort of things say they are good for up to 30 lbs. My baby is almost that big and she could crawl out. I am visiting my parents soon, and I don't know what I should get for her to sleep in. Any suggestions?

My daughter is ten months old. Since birth I have given her formula. But the trouble is that for the past four weeks she has shown little interest in drinking it. In fact she likes to drink lots of water but whenever I mix up formula bottle for her, she will drink only one or two ounces and then throw her bottle down. She eats rice cereal for breakfast and has two jars of baby food for lunch and dinner (all together 4 jars). She drinks about 25 ounces of fluids daily. She weighs 23 lbs and is very active, crawls and pulls herself up. She also has two teeth. The question is, is she trying to tell me that she is ready for regular cow milk?

I don't think he likes the feel of them in his mouth. I set one on his tounge and he spit it out and made a funny face. My son refuses to eat them. He is only 8 months old, so it's not necessary that he eats them, but I'm afraid if he doesn't like the texture of them now, then he will not like regular food either when it comes time for that. I've always heard that kids love Cheerios, but he will not put them in his mouth.

My baby will be 3 months old next week. Is she old enough to put in her own room in her crib right across the hall? I have the movement and sound monitor in her nursery. Also, is she old enough now to put down at night awake to teach her to "self soothe?" I mean I won't let her scream or anything but I would probably let her cry for 5 min, go in and check on her, cry for 7 more check on her and so on until she falls asleep. Any thoughts?
