I love amelia. I was considering naming my baby who is four motnhs old that name. I chose emily instead...but now that ive learned emily is a common name now amelia sounds so beautiful and I kind of wish id have chosen that name instead.

Cassandra was a Greek girl who was doomed to see the future but none ever believed her. Devika sounds too much like devil. Monet...if shes an artist will never be as good as the original, Bella is Beautiful, Lydia is boring, Amelia Earhart was a very intelligent, adventurous, strong women. I would go with Amelia then Bella.

Why not avril (April in French)? Or does it remind you of the singer LOL.
Anyways, you have some really nice selections. I am going to recommend (in order of what I like): Monet, Cassandra, and Amelia. Monet is really unique, classy and beautiful and of course the artist is awesome! When I was younger I use to say if I had a boy I would've named him Duchamp after the french artist.
What dont I like? I really don't care for Lydia - reminds me of a plain old lady. Or Bella - VERY overdone these days - you want your daughter to be different! Let us know what you select

Bella is lovely, classic and full of grace. Beautiful name for a girl.

Please don't name her Devika. It does sound ghetto and people do discriminate against "ethnic" names.

And Not Monet....she's not a painting.
And you don't want her name mistaken for an alcoholic beverage like Moet.

Good luck w/ baby.

I had a student named Odessa once, so I like that one. I hate Devika, it's a little rough.

Well when I was pregnant with my son. I remember thinking that the first name had to go smoothly with the last name. I didn't want to have a name that didn't go well together at all. So whatever goes with the last name. Then just go for it. So good luck in choosing one.
