No. Baby foods should not be started until around 6 months of age. They don't have the enzymes in their tummies to digest anything other than formula or breastmilk prior to the middle of the first year. Starting solids too early can increase the chances your child will develop allergies, diabetes and obesity.

You should wait until she is atleast 4 months old and then start her out on the cereals. Since they are easier to digest and less likely to cause an allergic reaction. Also get the opinion/let the doctor know that you plan to start feeding the baby cereal when she turns 4 months. I did each cereal for 2 weeks each. Started on rice then to I believe oatmeal, then barley, then the mixed. So when my child was 6 months thats when we tried the fruits and veggies.

No she probably won't have any teeth yet. Some kids do develop earlier than others and rarely might have 1 tooth. If you want to know when she will be getting teeth in compare when your got your baby teeth in to when the other parents started getting theirs in.

It is recommended to wait until at least 4 months before starting baby food. I started my daughter on cereal at 3 months and she had no problems. The average baby doesn't start getting teeth until about 6 or 7 months.

starting baby food this young can lead to allergies down the road. Our ped said no baby food till at least 6 months for this reason. There seems to be a big misconception too that early feeding will give you a better sleeper-no connection from what I could research. I would consult your ped but my own opinion, hold off for a while longer. And her teeth may be moving around a bit under the gum (more drool, fussy) but don't expect to see them for a while.

The World Health Organisation guidelines state that weaning should begin between 6 months and a 1 year old at a minimum. At a minimum. What happens in the US and UK, at least, is that of the very few who do exclusively breastfeed up to 6 months, peers and doctors encourage solids thereafter. Your breastmilk is an intelligent living tissue - it changes according to your environment and your baby's needs. Breastfed babies are smarter and healthier - that's what the data says. To suggest substituting mothers' milk for cow's milk is the healthy option is false - to say the least. By breastfeeding your baby you are giving his young immune system an all-too-rare boost that will serve him well through life. I suggest you wean baby at his pace. If you offer him healthy foods regularly he will take them more as he grows. But to try to force him off the breast risks all too common physical and psychological damage.

I agree with the first answer completely. The only thing I want to add is that you should NEVER put cereal in your baby's bottle either - no matter how soupy the consistency. A baby's main source of nutrition for the first year is breastmilk or formula. The only reason to introduce solids at 6 months is to help them prepare for eating table foods at one year.

3 months is a bit early for solids. Wait between 4 and 6 months of age, closer to 6 months being the latest recommendation. In my baby's case, I waited for cues that he was ready for more than liquids: all of a sudden he wanted to nurse all the time and he was eagerly watching us eat!
My kids got their first tooth at 6 and 7 months of age. It varies a lot; I've known a toothless 1-year-old!

Not until around 4 months. Check out some of the websites like beechnut and gerber. Try giving her a little more milk at each feeding to see if that helps. Their little tummies are not developed enough to digest solid food at 3 months and it can make them have gas and be really fussy

If your child has any signs of allergies then you should wait until about 6 months for baby food. Around 4 months it is okay to give them rice cereal.

my youngest started baby cereal at 3 months, and she got 6 teeth in in her 3rd month as well. Babies can develop teeth at any age., she had all of her teeth by 6 months.
