I've chosen Franklin in honour of a much-loved Uncle who passed away, and my husband likes Bryan. Roughly, the names would translate to "strong" and "free" which are good meanings for his name.

We just fixed up our nursery and our home, and were looking forward to settling baby in with us. However, our Lamaze teacher is advising that I will need help for several days after the birth, so moving in with my Mom and Dad may be a good solution. They'll be excited and helpful, but I also expect them to be a bit too controlling.....

These newer swings swivel so the baby can also rock side to side, like a cradle. Does your baby like it? It is worth the extra cost compared to a regular swing that that only rocks front to back

I've been breastfeeding my daughter for 6 and a half months now. In the beginning it was hard and sometimes flat out hurt. My nipples would crack and occasionally bleed, it was awful. Everyone described it as the stage where they had to get tough...after a short while they were right back to normal.....I was wondering is this something you go through for the first time you breastfeed, or is it something you go through with every child you have and breastfeed.

I am going to have a baby my due date is sunday. I told my doctors of a history of drug use in the beginning of my pregnancy and they drug test me. i passed my last drug test, and i will pass my drug test in the hospital but i was wondering if they give me pain medication and they test my baby wouldnt that show up on my babys drug test? is the hospital going to know the difference between a street drug and a pain medication they gave me? also how will they test the baby? with urine, blood or the babys frist poop?

My daughter is a week old tomorrow and I find myself agravated when i cant figure whats wrong with her. when she wakes up and dosent want to eat or spits up (alot) i feel like im doing something wrong and i cant help but cry.
I also cry when she crys and wont stop. I know i will never do anything to hurt her, i wont let myself. but what can i do. i duno if its postpardem ddepression, or regular depression (had depression way b4 prego) and i duno what to do. would anti depressants help? what do doctors do when u tell them u may have it? they wont take my baby will they? I just need some help

My 3 month old has this consistant rash in her diaper area. It's not a "diaper rash". It's more like small raised bumps.

Is it possible that she's allergic to something?

and please don't tell me to take her to her pediatrician, I plan to.

the problem with my son is that he gets constipated due to the formula that im giving him.. he hardly has a bowel movement but when he does its ALOT of poop.. I dont know if this is normal or if anyone else goes through this with their child but i was just wondering if its normal for that to happen when a baby is switched to formula?

My baby is due in Jan and My husbands Grandpa had told him that when he was rasing his mom they had a program out there that you would pay for a monthly fee and they would send you diapers and pick up the old ones? it sounds strange and werid but i was wondering if they're is something out there like that?
