I'm guessing you mean how to lay down an infant since you posted under Newborn & Baby. Infants should be placed on their backs to sleep at night. ONLY put them on their tummies once they can roll over on their own, usually around 3-4 months old.

Start with a right or left into your bathroom. Take a small hill into the tub and give a bath. Then turn back around at the fridge in the wall.Make a warm bottle .Slowly feed baby.Maybe even adjust your radio to some soothing music. Go slowly carrying baby to its bedroom.End at Crib.

Always on the right side of the bed facing a window , unless my GF leaves for work then diagonally lol
