Kyleigh and I went to the doctors and now she weighs 10 pds 5 oz (5 weeks old).. and the Newborn diapers go up to 10 pds, so if Im following the weight I should go to Size 1 but when I put one on her it sooooo big. Should I keep using Newborns (they don't look like they are to small for her) diapers for alittle bit longer or should I go ahead and go to size 1?
What kind of diapers are moms/dads using?? at the baby showers I got Pamper Swadlers,Cloud, Regular Pampers, Huggies, and Parients Choice (i think thats the name)..

With our daughter, we never got one, just used lil diaper disposal bags. even though we take out the trash everyday, it still wasnt enough to keep the stink at bay. we are planning on another baby soon. does a diaper genie to a better job of containing the stink?

My mom is due to give birth to a baby in like two weeks and she really wants to name her Robyn. I don't really like the name so I'm just wondering what other people think of it. Thanks for any of your opinions....

If I pump and put it in the fridge...and I take it out of the fridge and put it in an insulated bag inside of my diaper bag for about an hour and then I get home and its still very cold...can I safely put it back in the fridge and feed it to my baby later in the evening?

My daughter is almost 6 months old, breastfed and refuses the bottle. I have tried formula, breastmilk, juice and water, but she refuses. She eats rice cereal and baby food, but only after breastfeeding for a couple of minutes. All I want is to go out to dinner with my husband for a little while, but I can't because she will refuse the bottle or to eat food. Please help!!

My baby (10 days old) gets really red around the diaper area (anywhere the diaper touches his skin). I change him every2-3 hours and i'm using aquaphor and destin. I just changed the brand of diapers today to see if that changes anything. Has anyone experienced the same thing?

I had peanut butter crackers in the hospital after my daughter was born and she cried all night long. A few weeks later I had a handful of cashews and the same thing happened. I am breastfeeding her so I assume she is sensitive to nuts. I am wondering how long I should wait before I try to eat nuts again. She will be five months old on the 7th and I was curious if anyone else had a baby sensitive to nuts and if they out grew it or if it turned into an allergy. I haven't had anything with nuts on or in it since the second time and I am planning on breastfeeding for at least a year. She has no problem with rice cereal or anything else I eat. Any advice would be wonderful. Thank you so much.

My daughter is one and we threw out the pacifier cold turkey. She would use it to fall asleep and at some point every night it would end up on the floor. She was obviously able to get herself back to sleep without it. We are 4.5 days into it and at times I would give anything to have it back! We can't go back, we can't go back, we can't go back---right? She was an excellent sleeper before. I suppose it could have something to do with her three teeth that seem to be working themselves down, too. Any words of wisdom in getting through this?

I searched "Rice Cereal" here on ANSWERS and you Mommies are so adamant about NO RICE CEREAL, but why? What EXACTLY is so wrong with it? My 2 1/2 week old weighs almost 12 pounds (she was 10lbs, 9oz at birth) and is always so hungry! She's not "fat," just pretty big for her age. I'm breastfeeding her and supplementing with soy formula as well, about 8 oz per day. She takes 5-10 minute naps most of the day and sleeps in about 45-60 minute spurts at night. She will take two one hour naps during the day and again around 3:30 - 4:30 a.m. OUCH.

A good friend of my Mom's (a Labor & Delivery Nurse / Neonatal Head of nursing for 20 years) suggested giving her Rice Cereal. She says (and I agree), "Some babies are just very hungry!" I did it once today (1 tblsp. in 1 oz. as directed on the box) and I've never seen my baby look so satisfied. So please explain why this is so bad, besides just saying "THAT IS REALLY BAD!!," etc. Thanks!

Is Daddy going to be wagging his penis around in front of the kids? Little boys won't notice anyway, and I'd think he'd want to keep it in his pants around his adolescent sons, so what's the point? Isn't it kind of sick to have the kids examining Daddy's equipment?
