Our son is almost 2 months old and is passing hard bowels. Almost the size and shape of a small egg. Silly putty consistancy. He's also been put on good start soy formula to lessen his puking.

He has had many bowel movements a day for a few months now. I don't feel like it is chronic diarrhea because it is not watery, just soft and loose. He doesn't seem to have other symptems, like bloating or gas either. He has just never really had solid stools. I'm wondering what is causing such frequent bowel movements.

sorry for the horrible question but I just don't understand why a woman should be forced to go through the pain of labour and the harrowing ordeal of giving birth to a dead baby. If a women can opt for a cesaerean (getting nothing on spell check for this) to give birth to a living baby why are they forced to give birth if the their baby has sadly died?

I might need to supplement with formula tonight (I usually pump and feed). My two month old daughter will be staying over night at my inlaws and I'm afraid they will run out of breastmilk to feed her. I'm sending some powdered formula with her just in case. Considering her age, does the water they will use for the powdered formula need to be boiled first?

Thanks for your answers,
Mandy

I know the rules about how long to keep breat milk in the fridge or freezer...but I lost track and will dump it if I have to but hate to waste if its still good. Can you smell bad breast milk? Can you tell if its bad or not?

My babygirl, who is 15mo. suddenly got a really bad rash. She is up to date on her shots, didnt have a cold or fever or anything, and i hadnt changed anything recently like food or soap....it was all over her body..face, back, tummy, arms/legs and diaper area...took her to the doc and they tested her for strepthroat wich came back negative and did some blood work on her. They gave me an antibiotic for her but never really gave me a reason for the rash. The doc said that sometimes small children's bodies fight against something and a rash can appear. Kind of frustrating not knowing a specific reason for it...anyone else have this happen? or been told the same thing??

o.k. i have two daughters aged 3 and 4, my 4 year old has some problems and in the next few years will need a couple of operations. i really want another baby (i would love a little boy) but i feel it would be selfish towards my 4 year old as she won't get as much of my attention when she would need it most, also with her problems i feel i wouldn't cope with another baby, but i feel REALLY broody. how can i make this feeling pass?
