I might need to supplement with formula tonight (I usually pump and feed). My two month old daughter will be staying over night at my inlaws and I'm afraid they will run out of breastmilk to feed her. I'm sending some powdered formula with her just in case. Considering her age, does the water they will use for the powdered formula need to be boiled first?

Thanks for your answers,
Mandy

NOPE it sure doesn't. As long as it's city water (not well water) you can just use it from the tap. If it's well water I'd just pick up a bottled on the way there.

I boiled my daughters water the whole time she was on formula so I'd say yes but i also used spring water to It would probably be easier for you if you just sent a gallon of spring water along with the powdered formula just in case

I do not know, but I still boil it for my 3.5 month old. I do all the water for the day at once in the microwave. I would hate for her to get sick because I was too lazy. Nothing more important than your babies health other than lots and lots of cuddles and kisses.

Believe it or not distilled water is the best for her, I had to do it with my son because even when I boiled the water his stomach would become aggitated.

no, if your tap water is clean you're ok. Otherwise you can use spring water from the grocery store.
