the doctor told you the reason, the heart just wasn't a good one, sometimes their bodies just can't hold up,and unfortunately it happens, think of it this way, maybe God needed that baby more than you did, and he called him/her before you had a chance, it happens, there really isn't any other explanation. but there are more chances in the future to have another one, so don't just dwell, you just have to keep going.

I am SO sorry about the death of your little baby. It is so hard to understand why a baby would die and I can only imagine how much it must hurt. I hope that you are doing everything you can to comfort your girlfriend, I am sure her heart is broken.
In answer to your question, it was probably a congenital defect. For some reason ( and I know this does not sound fair) teenage mothers have a higher incidence of this sort of thing.
If your baby had a heart defect of great magnitude there was probably nothing that anyone could have done. If the problem had been less severe the baby might have lived long enough for surgery to have repaired her tiny heart.
I am sorry for your loss. Comfort your girlfriend as much as you can.
BTW, I understand what you meant by "accident", many of the snotty answers probably came from people who were made by accident too so don't let them hurt your feelings. People can be cruel.
Blessings to you and your girlfriend.

you have answered your question . the doctors do heart repairs on new borns but i take it in the case of your child it was not something they were able to fix.
if you really want a detailed reason as to what the troulbe was contact the hosp the baby was born at and find the doctor and you can see the records but since they will be very medical sounding you might want the doc who was there to go over it with you or get a copy of the records and ask another doctor or a nurse to go over it with you .
as far as why this happened from the point of medical science i dont know but the reports if read to you with the help of a doctor might let you know if there was any gentic problem or what if anything else they know about the exact cause of the heart trouble .
now when it comes to God no God was not punishing you or your gf. it sounds simple but i belive that sometimes God just has a reason to call a baby back it might be that if the baby lived he would have had a terrible life and was being made free of that by God but really only God knows his plan remember and belive he is the father the real father of all of us and he loves the baby and all of us and if he calls a baby back to him you can be sure the baby is better then a ok now the baby is in the direct care of God and his angels and saints what better care is there .
i hope this helps you and your gf and i hope that the two of you even if your not bf and gf now do take the time to help each other deal with this as it is sad despite the fact the baby is now in the care of God i know you and all who have had the loss of a child feel sad very sad for a long time but over time you will feel better
and one day who knows you might end up the dad of more childred and be wonderfull at it and the same goes for your gf.

Probably because she had as hole in her heart. I’m an sorry for your loss though as some said it’s probably a blessing in disguise I’m sure neither of you truly wanted to be parents at your ages your still kids yourself. Your doctor should have given you a full report on exactly why it happened. I would wonder why this wasn’t detected via a sonogram though. Hopefully this will be a lesson learned and you’ll be more carefully in the future, birth control pills and condoms, maybe Spermicide

There was obviously a congenital heart defect that caused the baby to pass. Congenital means "at birth." You should have an official birth and death certificate though outlining the cause of death. I am sorry for your loss and only hope that you and your girlfriend think to use protection next time. What a heartbreaking thing to lose your first child. But just think, it wasn't time for you to be parents yet so it really is a blessing in disguise, you just don't know it yet.

Oh my,,,,,, Well, when a baby is inside they do not breath air they get oxygen from the mothers blood. When a baby is born a valve in the heart needs to close and another needs to open to clear the lungs and give them the proper blood to kick-start the lungs working. In a few instances the valve switch does not take place and the lungs are not inflated and it leaves a hole where the valve did not close in the babies heart and the heart stops. I am sooo sorry for your loss.

Well...if the baby was born with a hole in the heart, then the heart was not pumping enough blood to the body, remember that the baby's heart is really small, and it probably was not able to work hard enough. Im sorry for the loss.

She passed away for the reason the doctor said- she had a hole in her heart.
I went to kidshealth.org and found...
"Other symptoms of congenital heart disease relate to an inadequate amount of oxygen carried within the blood. These infants usually appear to have blue skin, a condition called cyanosis. This can be due to an obstruction of blood flow to the lungs (such as in tricuspid atresia or pulmonary atresia) or due to a hole within the heart that allows oxygen-poor blood to flow from the right to the left side of the heart and out to the body (such as in total anomalous pulmonary venous return or Ebstein's anomaly). It can also be related to an abnormal positioning (transposition) of the arteries leaving the heart. In any of these cases, less red oxygenated blood comes from the lungs and more blue unoxygenated blood is carried to the body, causing the blue skin color."
Notice how a hole in the heart can be a result of this disease.
I'm sorry for your loss. I hope my answer helped you!! :)

The baby has a really small heart at birth and it grows with them s they grown but for it having a whole in he heart is like saying it was a diformity. So ask your doctor about why that happened and wut that cause was for it. Babies are not accidents it takes two to concieve. So talk to your doctor.

some babies are born with birth defects. An ultrasound should have picked this up on a sonogram. Ask for the autopsy report from the hospital if one was done and it should give you some answers
