If I pump throughout the day...is it ok to add the milk from each pumping to the same storage bag in the fridge if it is going to be used that day?

Yes, you can add milk from two seperate pumping sessions together. Sometimes I measure all my milk together in one container (all from the same day) and seperate it out that way. You're not supposed to add warm milk to cold milk, though. Make sure it's chilled first.

as long as u use it that day then yes
after pumping the milk it needs to be used within 48 hours
if u pump milk and store it together then u need to realize that the milk that u pumped first needs to be used first and that putting more in there (even if u just put in) will still have to be used within 48 hours.

I did it, and it didn't hurt my son. I however would not add pumpings from different days. If it's all used the same day, it will be fine. You can also freeze breast milk and save for later (you may already know this.) I

As long as it is going to be used that day yes. You can even freeze breast milk. That is a good idea during the flu season. That way even when you don't have the energy to nurse, daddy or someone else can enjoy feeding baby.

Of course, anything to make it easier for you and your baby... Kudos for you feeding your baby. I fed my first for 11 months, but my second I tried but could not produce enough to feed her. As long as you are feeding the milk the same day it is fine. Remember it only keeps in the refrig for 72 hours and in the freezer for 3 months... Keep pumping :-) happy for you and your little one...

It is best to keep it seperate just in case it does not all get used.
