Kyleigh and I went to the doctors and now she weighs 10 pds 5 oz (5 weeks old).. and the Newborn diapers go up to 10 pds, so if Im following the weight I should go to Size 1 but when I put one on her it sooooo big. Should I keep using Newborns (they don't look like they are to small for her) diapers for alittle bit longer or should I go ahead and go to size 1?
What kind of diapers are moms/dads using?? at the baby showers I got Pamper Swadlers,Cloud, Regular Pampers, Huggies, and Parients Choice (i think thats the name)..

I never went by the weight on the package...each baby is shaped differently. Use the diapers that seem to fit her best, you will know which ones are better.

My son was in newborn diapers for a while after he hit the suggested weight on the newborn packages. It's absolutely fine, as long as the diaper isn't too tight, especially around the legs. If the newborn size fits her fine, then don't worry about changing sizes just yet. Also, I began using Pampers and Huggies when my son was born, but I eventually tried Parents Choice diapers from Wal-Mart and LOVED them. We still use them. They're awesome! I actually had a lot of leaky diapers when we used Pampers, and I rarely ever have that problem with the Parents Choice diapers. Plus, they're only $10.56 for the huge package, which has definitely saved me tons of money. Diapers really get expensive after a while, when you run out of diapers from the baby shower and you have to actually buy them!

You'll know when to go up a size because she'll start leaking through the smaller diapers (or blowing out.. ugh). With both of my kids, I used Pampers swaddlers for the newborn stage, and then went to the Wal Mart White Cloud diapers after that. They are very gentle on bottoms and you can't beat the price. Sometimes they are a little stinky in the morning though.

We have always used Pampers Swaddlers... My son is 5 months old and he is in a size 2.
As for the sizing, most diaper sizes overlap by 2 or 3 pounds. If you feel like the smaller ones still have enough room, stick with them for awhile. If they seem snug, switch up. I just trusted my own judgment. When I felt like they looked tight, I went up a size.
As for the best brands, we tried a couple other brands but every one leaked. The swaddlers also seem softer and more flexible than the other brands. They just seem like they would be more comfortable.

the only sort of diapers i ought to apply for my daughter are Huggies. while she gets approximately 5 lbs. from the max weight I generally circulate up. maximum diapers make a length a million/2 this is greater than the dimensions a million's yet no longer as massive as the two. attempt that; purchase a small kit first to be sure they extra healthful properly. we relatively went from length a million/2 to a three; and skipped length 2 all mutually. She has been in a length 3 most of the iciness, yet we are approximately out and that i went forward and purchased length 4 because of the fact the weights on length 3 & 4 are fantastically comparable. we will see i think how length 4 slot interior the subsequent week or so.

Keep using the newborns as long as they fit. When mine moved out of them the only place they were really getting tight was around his legs, so make sure it's fitting comfortable everywhere. Were on size 2 now (at 5 months) and the diapers look bigger everytime you switch I'm sure, because I've felt the same way each time.

I use parents choice, if the diaper fits use it. I never waste any diapers I use the smaller size until they are all gone beore moving on to a bigger size. there is no dead set weight limit like size 3 will be something like 18-24lbs and size 4 will be 22-30lbs (not sure on the exact weights but they overlap) as soon as you go up in a size you get less diapers in a package then the size before but you pay the same price. my daughter wears size 3 (109/pk) but can wear size 4 (96/pk) but why waste the extra diapers

There is usually some overlap in the suggested sizes. If the smaller size still fits and works, stick with them.

We have always used Pampers. Every other brand leaked horribly. My sister-in-law always used Huggies because nothing else, including Pampers, worked for her. It just depends on your baby's shape and habits.

You should use whatever size and whatever brand works best for you. If your daughter isn't leaking out of the diaper brand or size you are using now, stick with it ("if it isn't broke, don't fix it"). The only brand I found that worked for my daughter was Pampers (she leaked out of everything else) and whenever she starts leaking out of those, I just buy a bigger size. :-) She's 19lbs and in size 4! I know friends who use all the other brands you mentioned, though. Just go with what works for you. Don't pay any attention to the suggested weight on the box. It doesn't really matter. :-) Good luck!

You are her mother and you know best. If the size that you are using now fits fine then stick with it for awhile. The sizes on the packages are not necessarily meant for everyone, each baby is different.
I use Parents Choice for my daughter. Because I find that it is a lot like Huggies (the brand name that I prefer) but it is cheaper.
