My mom is due to give birth to a baby in like two weeks and she really wants to name her Robyn. I don't really like the name so I'm just wondering what other people think of it. Thanks for any of your opinions....

In USA Robyn is a boy and Robin is a girl.
In Australia, NZ and UK, Robyn is a girl and Robin is a boy
Also names they can be called include - Christopher Robin, Robin Hood, Robin Redbreast and C**k Robin.
I know this from family experience. One of my sisters was named Robyn and she got called all the above names while growing up. She hates her name.

I like the name Robyn I think it is cute. She might have trouble in school with the spelling and not like it as a kid but when she is older she will like it because it shows uniqueness and individuality. Just like the comon spelling for the name for Sherry use to be with a y and more and more are spelling Sherry with a I Sherri

How would you feel if you had to say every day "My name is Robyn, spelt with a 'y' ", while you miss out on e-mails because your name is mispelt?

my daughters name it grows on you after a while my partener named her i really do like the name now it is a nice simple name jazz it up with a second name
