im sorry to hear such a thing. Are you sure her blood ox was good during these episodes?

Have you noticed a pattern with this and when she eats? how long does it last?

The reason i am asking is because my three month old has apnea episodes and she might turn blue... She also has times when her heartrate will drop and it will cause her to change colors because she is not breathing. it also happens when she has a reflux. they sent her home with a heart monitor to document when these things happen so they can determin if there is a pattern

It must not be life threatening because they wouldnot have discharged her.

Which test did they run? it seems weird that they would discharge her without a possible explaination.

The only thing i can really think if is her having a seizure. does she look like she is laboring to breathe when these things happen?

when my son was born he had TTNB (transitional typicnia of the newborn) he spent 2 weeks in the nursery on oxygen, at 5 mon. when i layed him down to change his diaper he turned blue around the mouth and fingers in just seconds i took him into the ER and they ran tests but couldent find anything wrong, he was in the hospital for a week when they sent him home the doctor perscribed albuterol if it ever happend again. Is she short of breath when she turnes blue??? you may want to talk to your doctor about if its a possibility she may have asthma, cuz my son now has asthma, its hard to tell with babys. also keep track of it, write down when she turns blue and how long she stays blue for, you may also try to find anoter doctor just for a second oppinion. because its not normal and is very scary. good luck.

i like the colour blue and that i'm particularly specific fish are independent. i think of it relatively is wonderful. on the different hand, in the event that they're keen to foot the invoice, i might in all probability redesign basically for the exciting of it.

Get another professional opinion. Could be a major issue. I'm suprised they released her. Online it is said that it can be due to Periodic Breathing. Although I would hope that a childrens hospital would do everything that they could, you just never know. Best of Luck.

Please keep seeking attention on this, just because they couldn't find anything wrong that day doesn't mean that there isn't anything wrong. Bluish tint in the lips and extremities sounds like hypoxia to me ( low o2 levels). Turning blue is not a normal function for anyone so please keep hounding the doctors for your baby sake.
