No, it's not necessary to pump and dump. The milk will just replace itself and become intoxicated again. Just wait until the alcohol leaves your system and it will leave your milk too. A small glass of wine or beer is nothing to worry about, you shouldn't breastfeed after heavy drinking though.

One glass of wine shouldn't hurt. But if you want to be safe, the general that I was told is to wait at least 2 hours after you drink before you breastfeed. Hope this helps.

Ahhh, I remember when I once had to pump and dump. I felt so guilty! I was like "There goes a waste of milk!" Not to mention the time it took to sit there with the pump! 15 minutes and for what. .. a few drinks that gave me a headache!
I know that's not your situation. .. sorry, I got carried away with the memory!
You'll be ok, just drink alot of water!

No need to pump after one drink.
If you go out and get loaded and then come home I would pump at least 2-3 times before breastfeeding again.

there is not any reason to pump & sell off except you get particularly under the impression of alcohol for for this reason long which you get engorged. *A* glass of wine, if drank good after a feeding is basically no longer on your milk via the subsequent feeding. (2-3 hours later) "cutting-edge scientific professionals propose that a breastfeeding mom shouldn't drink greater suitable than a million-2 contraptions of alcohol a week. A breastfeeding mom should additionally avert breastfeeding 2-3 hours after ingesting alcohol. under 2% of alcohol fed on reaches her breast milk."

Just wait awhile if you're concerned. A single glass of wine is really nothing to worry about.

From all of my resurch yuo can just wait a few hours. It you can wait that long. I believe its 2hr for every 1 drink. Your body will clean its self. But if you want to pump and dump its the safest way.

No you do not. You and your baby will be fine. If you want to wait an hour it will be fine. You can have a drink once in awhile and not harm the baby. It is only when you drink in the excess that it can be a problem.

Honestly one glass of wine is not going to hurt your baby or the breast milk, unless you are doing this every meal everyday.
An occassional drink is fine.
All things in moderation...........
