Peek-a-boo is always fun. Put him on your lap and bounce him or put a small blanket on his head and pull it off real fast and yell "there he is!" Infants at that age love that element of suprise :-)

Put some baby socks in a big plastic bowl. Different colors. Let him see what you are doing. Take out one sock and give it to him. Let him chew and look at it. After about 30 sec take it from him and hold it above the bowl. He will watch you. Then drop it into the bowl. He will more likely crawl over to the bowl and take out that sock….7-10 times. If you can keep him interested that long..lol. It develops motor skills and memory.

My son is 8 months and we do peekaboo and we have a crawling "race" we read big soft books with lots of activities on them, he likes to be thrown in the air, he likes to go for sholder rides, and I love getting a mirror down and watch him watch himself and try and grab him its so cute. We act out songs and dance. I hide his toys under a blanket and he finds it and I act surprised when he shows me "here it is". Have fun playing with your baby

peek a boo
putting things in a bucket then dumping them back out
If he is crawling chasing him around (you crawl after him)
My son loved all of these type of things, but just sitting and talking with him can also be a fun game. Plus it helps build vocab. Also reading with him.

peekaboo
where's the toy (same principle, hide a toy behind your back instead)
look at some brightly coloured picture books
I used to sit my son on the floor with a wooden spoon and some saucepans, can't remember if I did that at 8 months but if he can sit up and grasp a spoon that can be fun, hitting the saucepans together, if you can stand the noise!

Stack some blocks up and grab his foot and make him "kick" it over. They get a laugh out of stuff like that!
