applying Vicks BabyRub (not the vaporub) to your baby's chest and neck before bedtime? It works like wonders, since i applied babyrub to my baby, she sleeps through the night, 11 hours straight..Of course, you need to accompany it with warm formula and tender loving care..as long as your baby is 3 months and older..you could try it,especially when your baby is fussy..it helps your baby to relax and have good sleep..c",)

We are adopting and are SOOOO excited. The baby is due in three weeks and it seems the closer the date gets the more nervous I get and the more anxiety I can feel coming on. Is this what every expecting mom goes through? I know this is a silly question, but this is our first and I don't know what to expect at all. I do have anxiety disorder so helping my nerves stay calm is great and knowing that all these feelings are normal will help a lot!!!

my doctor gave me a heavy dose of bupleurum, a chinese herb, instead of robitussin. he said its ok 4 the baby because it's an herb. then i came home and called the ob doc and she said it's a risk because there's no research. i feel better, like magic pills..lol. but the babys all sweaty - just like i am. it's a side effect i guess. she seems a little extra irritable and sleepy. i'm kinda on the fence about these pills........any opinions?

My 11 month old daughter was born with redish veins on her cheeks and eyelids. My doctor hasn't said anything about them, so I am not worried. But I was wondering if anyone else had children with these veins, and if they went away as they got older. I myself have a small purple vein around my cheek as well. Oh and what causes these veins? Are they broken capilaries?

When my girls were newborns I always wanted to keep them very close at hand. It was always so difficult having to move her from the swing to the baby carrier to the crib. It bothered them more than anything else. My husband and I would like to have another child I was wondering about getting a moses basket. However no one that I know has ever used one. I wanted to know from anyone who has, and what they liked and well didn't like about them. Give me your opinion, should I get one or not?

My mother-in-law told me that it's bad to tickle a baby because he/she will stop breathing. She tried to pin it on my dad saying that he's the one who told her this. I know for a fact that my dad would NEVER say such a thing since I have a 3 year old nephew who my parents have been watching since he was 5 months old and we've all tickled him and still do. She's also known to make up ridiculous stories like this.

I wanted to ask my dad if this was true, but my husband told me not to before I even brought it up. He was pretty peeved at his mom too.

I know that if I play with my baby once he's born and tickle him, she's going to say something.

I don't want to start a fight if she tries to tell me how to raise my child. I really don't like to be confrontational especially with family, but I feel that if she says something stupid like that, I'll really say something back.

I'd really love to hear your thoughts and opinions on this. Thanks all! :)

So I have an adorable little 11 month old son, he is not so adorable when its time to brush his teeth. He throws himself out of my arms, crawls away, and just screams and crys. He has about 7 teeth and I am very scared they will rot, as he STILL takes bottles to bed sometimes. How can I get him to let me brush those teeth? :o)
