For a girl i was thinking about calling her 'Laura'. Tell me what you honestly think about the name and do you have any other suggestions for a beautiful girls name. I'm open for unusual and uncommon names as well! thank you =)

I think Laura is a beautiful name. As I tell all baby namers, try to think of a name that is a reflection of yourself. That way when your child gets older and asks where it's name came from, you have a lovely story to tell and they know that you put some thought into it instead of just"I thought it was pretty"

Yes I do! It's actually my name but it took me a while to come to terms with it... It's not common either which is nice.
My parents were actually going to call me Jessica but watched the movie 'Laura' the night before I was born. I now quite like it and dig the fact that I was named after a great film, a beautiful heroine and a groovy jazz song. They obviously had high hopes...

Laura is a beautiful name... It is a little common though.But If you like it, Then that is the name you should stick with. I like names that are a little unusual, but not too much....

Personally I do not like the name Laura. It seems too old fashioned. I have a daughter named Genesis Mikayla. Other girl names I like are Arianna, Aundrea, Brianna.

Laura is a beautiful name.
And, her name will be her destiny, so you might want to pick a very popular name that most people have, so that she will be well-liked and accepted. And, look through your family tree for a name so that she will feel connected to her ancestors.

Laura is my name also, and its ok, but its not my fave, i wish my mom had spelled it Lara instead. but there are not many Laura anymore so that might be good if you don't want her having a common name.

Laura is cute. You could go with Lauralei also . If you like old fashioned names Pauline and Paulina are pretty. My twins are Clarissa Jade and Clarina Jude (Chloe.)
