No. A ten month old has the ablity to move it's head, sit up and crawl from under a blanket that has managed to get over his/her head. Do NOT tie it to the crib. But simply tuck it between the crib and it's mattress. If you really feel somewaht paranoid, be sure to check up on the baby before you go to bed to see if he/she has kicked the blanket over their heads. If so, then simply take the blanket out and add another layer of clothing to them.

Hope it helped.

It is not that the 10 month old could not move away, it is that babies sometimes drift into such a deep sleep that if there is something in their face, they are breathing out carbon Dioxide, and they breathe it back in, so they are essentially not getting any oxygen, but re-breathing their air!! Don't risk it!!

Buy a bag from grembo.com, they are thicker than the usual polyester ones you find at the regular stores. I just bought one and can't praise it enough. I need to by another one. They aren't cheap, but they are organic, thick and very warm.

Unlikely as a ten month old can usually crawl, move around, sometimes even walk. Still, don't risk it. Is it really worth it??

please dont even take a chance of hurting, impairing, or accidentally having your baby die,, skip it, they arent as cold as we think and we hurt them by over warming or doing something for what we think is a good idea and could be fatal for the little one, :)
